bronze
If you could have one chicken of any type that doesnt have to fit into an existing flock so could be any size etc. What would it be?

mountainboarddude
i think i'd have to have a buff orpington as they are so big and fluffy, or a welsummert as they are different colours.
bronze
Think I'll have to go for a silver laced wyandotte (yes Claret your fault) til I change my mind again in 10 minutes
ali-s
If I had to choose only one it would be a Shetland If I could choose three I would also have a Bantam Light Sussex and a Cuckoo Scots Dumpy

chocchick
i think i'd have to have a buff orpington as they are so big and fluffy, or a welsummert as they are different colours. Me too, they are so gorgeous. My welsummer is so pretty and soft too, and like my loud fat RIR too Would like a silkie too as they look really funny, I'm a sucker for creatures that are just a mass of fluff on feet
Cinnamon
Dream chicken - one that doesn't poo Seriously,I would like one that lays lovely blue eggs
craftyhunnypie
My dream chicken was an amber star, but I want a chicken that lays blue / green eggs - so a cream legbar. But I also love the laced Wyandottes like 'Ruby' on the forum. Emma.x
Snowy
Oooh, what a great thread! I love the little seabrights, but the most beautiful chook I have ever seen was my Fizz's Dad - a Gold Duckwing Araucana Cockerel! He was huge and all shades of chesnut, gold and cream. Stunning! Rhapsody
I long for a pair of Buff Orpies flouncing around.......and Welsummer Cockerels-so stunning!
Sheilaz
As I'm amongst friends; I'd love some Transylvannian Bare Necks. Don't know how you'd tell if they were moulting though.

feemcg
I think Wheaten Marans are lovely (so have 6 eggs in the incy ). I'd also like a Blue-laced Wyandotte - its been amazing watching the feather development of the silver-laced, but they're hard to sex because of their combs-or lack of them! I quite like these too The woman that I buy the chicken feed from has some. Last time we went she had some chicks running around and they were sooooo cute, it was like someone had given them bowl cut haircuts! chelsea
definitely SILVER LACED WYANDOTTE or a Barneveldar (laced or pencilled I think ) ClareT has both but in bantam form....gorgeous chickens
Cate in NZ
Oh, such a hard, hard question, I'm stumped for an answer. What I'd really like is a field (and an eglu ) big enough to have one of every variety. If pushed I think maybe I'd go for a silver partridge Araucana, or a big, blowsy Buff Orpington. I do love my ditsy, dizzy Cream legbar though, so perhaps a flock of Phil's would do me
