Griffin
Tiger Lily has been broody for a couple of weeks and shows no sign of relenting. She's my best broody so I may as well give her a few eggs to keep her happy.
Lewis
Might as well give her some eggs Cheryl

HENthusiastic
isn't it a bit early for hatching? I've got a couple of broodies at the moment and I keep telling them not to be so silly and that its far too cold for babys. Am I wrong? When I hatch the chicks will be outside with their mum, no warm broody pens with lamps. Is this why some people can hatch so early? Or am I being a softie? Lewis
Fertility will be lower at the moment and it will be cold for chicks, but if you keep them in a hutch in a shed or something with lots of straw to keep them warm, should be ok
Griffin
I've ended up with more than I bargained for By the time the Silkie eggs arrived for Tiger she decided she wasn't broody anymore. I couldn't bear to bin the eggs so have decided to incubate them and it'd be silly to fire up the incy just for six eggs so I'm waiting for more to arrive Double laced Barnevelder bantams, gold Dutch and some Sablepoots
chick wiggle
Not one for doing things by half then eh? Good luck, my fingers are crossed for you
Griffin
But you know incubators function better at full capacity and it makes economical sense to fill it up rather than leaving it almost empty
