Ain't Nobody Here
Nope, nothing here either . Not bothered as neither of us are particularly romantic (especially after 22 years!) OH did point out Valentine cards to ES whilst in a supermarket en route back to Uni yesterday so at least his girlfriend will be getting one (at our expense ). Redwing
We dont tend to give cards but this year as hubby and the dog spend so much 'boy time' together I bought him a card with 'from the dog' on the front of it
ElvisFan
I am quitely hopeful that I will get a card from OH tonight (bought from the first garage with a sale on !) I have got him a card and a new egg timer as he keeps messing his eggs up and then we have a big bottom lip for about an hour afterwards. I hope my girlies have remembered too but then I guess Mothers day would be more important, I have done them a couple of tomatoes with hearts carved on the front, they will last about 10 seconds ! whoopsie
I usually get a valentines card every year - from a female American friend Yes it's more about friends and family. Much nicer. I wished all of my clients and colleagues Happy Valentines today, big smiles all round. Yes OH and I treated each other - but i'm on call all night tonight . CallyChook
that sounds lovely kerryegg good surprise. My hubby went to work this morning without even wishing me a happy valentines, and he didnt put anything on his facebook status either we had agreed to not buy cards or gifts as money is tight, but it would have been nice to at least have a virtual declaratio0n of love, instead of his status of "off to work again, laters facebookers". ho hum. not a happy cally we might not be doing material valentines but i did want something of sentiment... we have to go visit my grandmother tonight as no other time to do it this week so it's hardly a romantic day in our household. my little boy has no idea about valentines but we have pencilled hearts and done a bit of colouring. wasted a good half hour! Mercedes55
Nothing here either. For the last few years we have kept the same cards and I usually just get them out and put them on the fireplace. However OH is sick with a cold and I have a dental appointment later on, so don't really feel in the mood anyway. OH did take the day off, to keep me company I thought, but he has spent all day in the garden building an extension to the WIR. It's a Happy Valentine's Day for the girls then

Seagazer
I'm glad I'm not the only one without then! I can't believe OH didn't get me a card, I don't expect pressies but just a little, iddy, biddy card would have been lovely. OH does also believe that its completely manufactured and silly. We do say we love each other virtually (barring argument days) every day so it probably is pointless but it would have been nice. I got him a card, his birthday is on Wednesday so I'm always in the card shop at this time of year. Well I shouldn't have spoken too soon! A courier arrived at lunchtime with a very large box from Moonpig. It contained a lovely bouquet of roses and a card containing a funny verse that OH had made up for me I can't put it in as its a bit saucy Apparently he arranged it all last week. Well done OH, I love you after all.

Chickvic
Me and my DH have the challenge to get the cheapest, naffest card with husband or wife on. We do it for every celebration, Christmas, birthdays, anniversary. I won this year it cost me 79p and is just completely tacky!
Biker Chick
Didnt think we would be "doing" Valentines Day, not after 26 years of marriage. Got home from work at lunchtime and found 3 big bunches of flowers (ok, 2 for me and one for DD) and a pair of new tyres for my motorbike Now how romantic is that Do feel a tad guilty as I didnt get him anything
craftyhunnypie
Had a lovely card this morning. Was away all weekend around Aberystwyth to do with moving. Had a fab 9 course Valentines meal Saturday night at The Hafod Hotel - Devils Bridge ...we only called in for Lasagne! Emma.x
Purplemaniacs
We don't normally do Valentines Day but I got a Sat Nav, I am always lost have a terrible sense of direction so I am thrilled with it He left early this morning for work and won't be home until Friday night so no romantic meal here either. rachelk
Nuffink here either, just a text to thank me for the card and chocolates I hid in his briefcase before he left for work this morning. Not so much as a card from him though. I'm off to make valentines biscuits with 24 Brownies in a minute - how unromantic!

Better than forgetting at least, Christian. I got a card left on my pillow signed from a 'Mystery Man'. Pretty sure it was hubby though!
