Ms Marple
Gorgeous Tasha! Excuse my total ignorance here but what is a 'cade' lamb?
Redwing
I think by definition its an orphan lamb but its used for any lamb that isnt with its mum so an orphan, a removed triplet, a rejected one etc.. they have to be fed formula milk and often farmers cant be bothered with the cost or faff of raising them so sell or give them away

Tali wants to play with our lambs but she's just a bit bouncy at the moment.......give it a couple of weeks and they'll be big enough and bouncy enough to cope! Redwing
Sadly Donkey and one of the other cade lambs didnt make it for different reasons We also lost the ewe that had the home bred lambs So we are down to two ewes (one pregnant) our two lambs and one cade lamb Three deaths in three days has been very hard on our enthusiasm especially the two lambs who hadnt really had much time to live Daphne - Albion (Christmas dinner) is a Welsummer x commercial table bird, I have some of his and my Indian Game girl's chicks growing on at the moment
