bluekarin
What a day. My DS (injured his hand, suspected scaphoid fracture, splint for the past 3 weeks, 2 lots of xrays with no conclusive diagnosis) had an MRI today and a few hours later the consultant looking at the scan phoned and said he has broken the tip of his radius. Have to go back to A&E to have a plaster cast fitted To say he is his upset by this is a understatement. Hope he is co-operative tomorrow

lindafw
I was 6 weeks in plaster (pot for us northern lot) for my suspect scaphoid (sp)...and no one could ever say conclusively that i had done it..."if it hurts then you probably have and we will treat it as such"!! Lewis
Congrats to YS, ANH! Unconditional was the best + worst thing that happened for me... obviously loved that they offered me a place (and paid me £1000!) but meant I didn't do any work for A2 which I regret now Wish they told us in July just after our exams so we'd already worked hard for them! Hope he's feeling ok tomorrow bluekarin Had a good night Lambing. 4 sets of triplets, a set of Quads and 6 lots of twins!
Alis girls
Ditto Bluekarin - spent many happy hours in local frature clinic. Good luck. Congrats to ANH and Lewis well done on your bundles of joy
Ain't Nobody Here
I know, Lewis . YS insists he will work for his 2 AHs and 1 Higher but I've yet to see evidence .
LolaLayla
We are in the same boat as ANH. YS has got an unconditional too and I think he may just coast a bit now
Geoid
I have just got home (to London) and realised I have forgotten my house keys. Damn! My parents wont be back until Sunday and my neighbours who have a spare set are not in.

The Dogmother
Any news Fred? Great news on the lambing Lewis - we were bottle feeding Lesley's cade lamb today; he's a strong and wriggly wee man but could do with a friend to keep him warm at night. nearly brought him home with us - Cyrus would love to cuddle up with him, but Ruby likes her own space. I have some beef from Lesley's cows to try in a casserole.... I'm now enjoying planning how to cook it
Geoid
I decided to walk to my grans house, about 2 miles away, she used to have a spare set of keys, but after searching her house, no spare set was found So, I walked back home, and my neighbours were in , they also had the spare set , so I could get in the house

chickencam
lovely photo DM, those eyes and that mouth as someone else said two peas in a pod My DS gives bear hugs that wind too and pats me on the head and calls me mini mum All of my offspring are at least two inches taller than me now. Well done on the uni offers, we are awayting the results of an exam for an unconditional offer for ED.
Alis girls
Saw Woman in Black last night - very spooky - all my fears in one film - loud nosies, figures, faces and dead people walking about very Hammer Horror every cliche thrown in. You jsut know when someone decides to spend night in haunted house it will go bottoms up. And I had no cushion - only OH to grip onto my popcorn and coat BYW does anyone know where it was filmed - there is a causway thro the sea which when it goes out leaves a path. snowberry
St Michael's Mount but it wasn't filmed there! I saw WIB on Friday. Once I got used to the fact that they were going for the 'jumpy' tactics, I wasn't scared. In fact I had to remind myself that it was a 12A! patsylabrador
Have wasted phenomenal amount of time playing with Draw Something app on my phone. I only have the free version but that's enough to distract me.

Alis girls
Good luck - are you looking or people looking at chez fred. At work - no patients yet - boooring. Be glad when can get home watch Corrie and Whitechapel. Still spooked from WIB - OH's precious fig tree is outside lounge window wrapped in fleece and looked very ghostly last night - had to remind myself its a tree not a ghostly apariton. snowberry
I saw a cat get hit by a car this morning It literally ran straight under the wheels. It ran off & the driver of the van & I went looking but it could have gone anywhere. I told a woman in the house opposite who will chase up all the locals with cats matching my description & I rang vets to tell them so that if someone enquires with them about a missing cat then they will know. Don't know what else I could have done though

Lewis
Sorry to hear about the cat Booked Sherlock in to the vets to be castrated, earlier. He won't be happy that day but means he should calm down + can live with Watson after it! K, a vet there also teaches one of our Equine modules and practicals so I asked if I could see practice for the day. She said yep and introduced me to the vet nurses! I asked her about painkillers for sheep last week, for lambing if theres prolapses etc and I spoke to the farmer the other night and he's started using Metacam... she was impressed! Ain't Nobody Here
I saw a cat killed by a car outside my house last year . It was awful. I managed to track down the owner by asking various neighbours but it was very sad .
