London on the shortest night *PICS*

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd show off a few pics my brother took on a trip to London.

He went in a groups organised through meetup.com. Anyone used this site? Various like minded people, in my brother's case keen photographers, organise meetings and gatherings to suit your particular interest or hobby. Anyway, he got together with a few guys for an over night photography session in London on the shortest night and got some amazing photos.

Beautiful photos - is he entering them in any competitions or local shows? They are amazing!

He's pretty nifty with a camera isn't he?

I know he's put in some pics into the countryfile's competition before but they didn't get anywhere (Standard is extremely high for that competition though)

If you click on one of the pics it takes you to his flickr page with his 'best shots', I think he submitted one of the wasp ones.

probably a stupid question but how do you get the light streaks?!

It's the exposure time on a shutter - if the shutter speed is slow it blurs any lights that move whilst the picture is being taken.

It's annoying if you're taking pics of fireworks and get the shakes - they come out like wiggly spiders!

I do, there was a huge, bright full moon one night and I couldn't get a still photo of it for the life of me :(
