Seagazer
YS - Kindle plus DVD, game or 2 probably ES - stubble trimmer, clothes etc DD - has just asked for travel vouchers towards her trip to Australia. OH bought me some kayaking gear at the weekend as mine is all borrowed from YS or OH - apparently its my Christmas present - not quite what I wanted I'm having trouble thinking of stocking fillers for my two boys. I said I wasn't doing all puzzles and jokey things as ES doesn't really do anything with them. YS would still like couple of bits but apart from deodorant, socks etc I've got no ideas. Any ideas for a 14 and 20 year old? My DD is easier to do.
Lewis
Do they need cases or screen protectors for phones/ipods, some headphones, or those neoprene laptop cases - I have a couple which I use and they're only cheap
C&T
In general it never fails to amaze me how many of our friends plead 'poverty' but then buy lavish gifts at Christmas Too true! And then there are the people who are rolling in the stuff who plead poverty... But I won't go there! So far have made some Christmas cards, and mostly been planning... . Thinking some calendars for the grandparents with photo's of little one on there. Thinking of making some gifts, but at the moment done nothing about that and will run out of time soon! That and not all the family appreciate home made (jams etc are useless apparently unless they come with a whole variety of additives in ) So thinking my mission this week is to get on with it!! Snowy
OH never wants anything for christmas, so is phenomenally hard to buy for. I've just spotted a gas camping lantern that I wanted, reduced in price, so have bought it for OH. I know he will get just as much pleasure from it as I will
Margalot
Just bought my soon to be 16 yr old DD an all in one sleepsuit, in stripy festival colours from funzee, they look lovely, got her matching socks too! meezers
I've told OH he's paying for Christmas this year ( for the first time ever) - I'm saving for our holiday next year. It made me laugh when I told the boys that dad would be buying their presents - when I'm buying they have their lists in by end of October - now dads buying they haven't even written them yet , think that's a loud vote of no confidence ( and being a typical man he says ' I've loads of time yet- over 4 weeks', I'm usually finished and wrapped by now I know what will happen, come the 20th with no pressies in sight I'll be doing a mad dash around town and cursing myself for making a stand. docsquid
No pressies this year, because we've treated ourselves to redecorating the lounge. However the post-Christmas furniture sales will see us in the market for a new suite. This is not really decadent - the old suite is over 20 years old and the springs have collapsed, and the lounge hadn't been decorated for 20 years either. It does look nice, a bit chaotic though. Chortle Chook
I love the whole card thing - both sending and receiving but the present thing is a worry. OH always says he does not want anything . . . till it gets to Xmas day when he is like a wee one and wants lots of parcels to unwrap so I have bought him a book he wants, and a jumper and I may even get him socks My sister is great fun to get things for as she always wants loads of things and never has a bean to get herself anything. This year I'm going to get her a pretty lead for her rescue lurcher and a set of non matching, antiquy tea cups. My mother always wants the world's most boring, functional things. This year she has asked for weed killer My dogs will get a new toy each (and lots to eat) My chooks will get those brussel sprout trees. Me? Anything for my kitchen, my chooks or my dogs and things like colurful scarves and gloves. What I dread most is being given serious things to wear
Sam
My mother always wants the world's most boring, functional things. This year she has asked for weed killer That really made me laugh! I've bought nothing so far, and there is nothing on my list!

I've been trying to recapture this enthusiasm for manic cleaning with various gadgets and new cleaning products, but with little success! If any one knows of any new to the market cleaning products I will try again this Christmas!!!!
Christian
Really starting to panic now. The new house is still a tip. Carpenter started digging out the shrubs, concrete posts etc etc for the new walk in run today, but won't start on the kitchen until later in the week. All in all, I have boxes of stuff everywhere and somewhere is my box of Christmas pressies - but I can't find it!! Bought my Mum a kindle for her combined birthday and Christmas (18th December - she would freak if I bought it for just Christmas, as we set a limit that no one sticks to)! Dad announced that he was going to order a kindle for her next week so I had to come clean and show him the box I already had. He has now said that we can 'share' the pressie for her birthday, so now scuppered for Christmas. She is doing Weight watchers again, so 'NO FOOD' - that's the hamper ruled out. Might get her an Amazon voucher, so she can buy kindle books - or make her a kindle case? Dad will get a shirt and some licorice allsorts like every year - but that is what he asks for! Brother will get aftershave - plus something for his birthday on the 31st He drives me mad as never gives me any idea. He is a plumber, so thought about something tool related but wouldn't have a clue. SIL smellies/candles or such like... Niece - anything with Hello Kitty on, books, or 'miniature things', like pens, pencils, anything pink - she is 6 on the 29th Dec - double Nephew - Books, anything I pick for him is 'the best book ever' apparently - probably because I LOVE childrens books! Dragon related things, anything Harry Potter - 8 1/2 years old. Ex - Lots of bits for his new house. Can opener Emergency survival kit for his car incase of snow/earthquake/tornado Jaime Oliver pasta bowls (that I really would like to keep for myself ) Colander (yes, really)! Gran - a hamper with German bits in. Cake, sausages, tinned goods, chocolates, amarylis (sp) and a few other bits. Might even do a Supermarket delivery with some nice things, as she doesn't get out much now. A friends little boy loves anything to do with Cars or Cars 2, so will make up a little stocking for him. Will do a couple of mini hampers for my new neighbours, maybe just a mini Christmas cake and some cranberry jelly as a little festive thing? Have had a request from the local garage to do mince pies - they always look after my Mini and rarely charge me full whack, so I usually do some Christmas baking for the grease monkeys........ I plan to go to Salisbury next week and blitz the shops in one day. I want it all done by the 7th of December, as I am then back to work. Looking forward to wrapping; it is my favourite thing about Christmas. Have mountains of brown paper, lots of cinnamon sticks, mini baubles, ribbon and home-dried orange slices. Will light the fire, put Bing and Nat on the ipod and let the wrapping commence! edit - Blimey, sorry, that turned into an essay. I love Christmas, can you tell? abwsco
So far I've bought: My Christmas present and am already using it (joint birthday pressie as well though as it was dear) of a Clarisonic Plus. Three dinosaur books from M & S that were 50% off in the sale last week for youngest nephew. Slanket for youngest DD bought ages ago when they were cheap. Tintin game and the Green Lantern DVD for DH bought tonight in Amazon's Black Friday Deals. Huge Soap and Glory set for eldest DD bought in the January sales. Had forgotten about this. Straightener protective cases, heat mats and spray for both DD's. Tin of Quality Street - not sure who this is for but it was on offer-lol Bottles of wine - again not sure who these are for but collected from M & S dine in as we don't drink wine-lol Should also add that I think the woodburner plus sanding the floor and then redecorating room plus probable new sofa should be a Christmas present for a few years as it's costing a fortune
Seagazer
My list has just got a little longer - ES has just got back together with his ex-girlfriend so that's another Christmas present and her 21st birthday is on 28th December YS found out about his Kindle, which he thinks is for his birthday on 8th December, and he's moaning as he really wanted a paddle. Little does he know that the paddle is upstairs behind my bed ready for his birthday. Its driving me mad as I know he will love the Kindle really but paddling is his first love. I did a whole load of internet shopping yesterday so I've not got too much more to do for the outer family and its just extra bits for my kids, the mums and my Dad. My mum wants a dressing gown so that's easy enough.

Olly
My sister wants a dressing-gown, but she wants a super-fleecy one with buttons. They don't seem to exist, so I'll have to find her something else (I have considered buying a wrap-around superfleecy and adding buttonholes!). I am nearly there with the shopping, just some stocking-fillers and a few easy things like iTunes cards etc. to get - trouble is I can't seem to stop buying, some people will end up with more than I'd planned. I bought my joint birthday/Christmas present to myself at the weekend. If you live alone, and don't have a significant other, it's a rule that you have to buy yourself a big present, because "Ooops, word censored!"ody else will. I got a Kenwood KMix stand mixer, which I have been coveting for ages.

Griffin
Oh I just had a lovely image in my head of Robert Newman as Jarvis in his smoking jacket Quickly followed by Richie from Bottom in his smoking jacket which Eddie described as looking like he'd put his raincoat on inside out
Goosey Lucy
I have no idea what I've bought It's all hidden in my wardrobe. I shall have to get it out in the next few days. I do know that OH has bought himself something (can't remember what now), ES and YS have various things stashed in there that I've been buying since July as I've seen appropriate things, my sister wants money but she's getting something crafty as well, I just can't remember what and if I've made it yet or not I do know I've sorted nieces and nephews and OH is sorting his parents. I'm off to play with sewing machines tomorrow
