My OH wanted a new leather briefcase OS Has a Lego death star (he put in some cash as it is very pricy) YS Has an Xbox . I have no idea what I want.... patsylabrador
OH and I don't buy each other presents, not as miserable as it sounds. I am at a loss as to what I should buy the kids, I usually treat DD to a big bag of Lush products and there are a couple of films to buy for the boys. I plan to pick up some snowboarding gadgets for ES to take with him. I love buying books for people. Not very inspiring I'm afraid.

Looney
We've agreed no presents for adults this year so we're just buying for the children in the family. Makes so much more sense than us feeling some sort of obligation to get a present that can be sent across the country to relatives that don't really want it! Having said that our children will get a little gift to give to grandparents. So. Bogwoppit 1 (age 3 and a half) is getting stuff for his train set from us and from other family members. Also a couple of DVDs and some stocking fillers. I LOVE shopping for stocking fillers! I found some lovely squishy frogs in Wilkos the other day that he will adore! Matchbox cars are always a favourite too. Bogwoppit 2 (age 10 months) will be getting not very much! She has her brother's old toys so really doesn't need anything. We have bought her a soft toy dog that plays music and talks. I also bought her the 101 Dalmatians DVD, which is really for me but shhhh don't tell anyone!! I'll find a few things for her to unwrap, sure she'll enjoy the wrapping paper as much as anything else. Looking forward to Christmas this year
Olly
I'm impressed by how many people are NOT buying presents this year! I only buy these days for my sisters, two nieces and some friends. Under 18s are all getting money, the little ones' parents will put it in their savings accounts and the bigger ones will get something they want (rather than what I might think they want) - they all get lots of stuff at Christmas, and I don't see them often enough to be able to gauge their tastes and interests. I am making some presents this year, too - if I can manage to find enough time - Niece #1 is getting a vintage-style apron, and some bunting to decorate her cupcake stall. I always do stockings for my two sisters, and as Looney has said, shopping for things for those is much more fun than buying big things. One friend is getting a cinema voucher, together with a promise to babysit so she and her husband can have an evening out. I've bought some lovely things on Folksy this year, too. Lavenders_Blue
DH is buying me a Kindle for Christmas... well, actually I ordered it and have handed it to him to wrap up DH is a nightmare to buy for as he can never think of anything he wants, but so far he's leaning towards an iphone/ipod dock with radio. I have also bought him a table ping pong set as a fun/silly present. I've got two presents for my nephews so far - 7 in total so still a few to get! - Thomas trains and lego kits. I'm trying to find out what the other littlies are into at the moment, so I can get them something they will enjoy. Parents will be getting comestibles, probably some home-made bits and bobs such as truffles and biscuits with some nice wine thrown in for good measure. I just get small presents for my brothers and sisters in law. Again, usually something comestible. I made up mulled wine kits last year which were well received. ETA - forgot about the animals! Tango is getting a pretty new collar and the chooks will get a sprout tree or two, yum yum! Edited November 20, 2011 by Guest

Ain't Nobody Here
OH and I don't really buy for each other but buy ourselves things we want . I've already bought - and worn! - a pair of boots and 2 pairs of shoes with a 20% off voucher in Clarks so nothing under the tree for me this year . ES (19) wants a new amp for his guitar, a GPS watch for fell running (going to give him mine as I'm not running at the moment), and money towards a New Year w/e away with friends), I also thought maybe a George Forman grill for Uni? He also needs a new mobile. YS (17) hasn't asked for anything . My 9 nieces/nephews (ages 11-23) all get Amazon vouchers these days. So much easier as they all live miles away. craftyhunnypie
I can get more enjoyment very often out of something that has just cost a little, than something that has cost a lot! I wish I'd get more homemade / handmade gifts. Emma.x
Griffin
Mr Griffin says he's useless with presents so I buy me whatever I want I'm going to buy tickets for the Gold Cup next March at Cheltenham and possibly some prints from my friend Tracy at Turfpix. She's a racehorse photographer and it's high time I had some of her work on our walls. Kauto Star jumping the last on his way to victory yesterday at Haydock: My favourite racehorse, Chicago Grey, winning at the festival: Brilliant reminders of happy days. We've bought the girls an Xbox 360 with Kinnect. They think they're just getting the Kinnect thingy to chuck onto our old Xbox but we've bought the whole package so that Mr Griffin can play his games upstairs in peace while they're downstairs

chickencam
My ED who is 18 would like the new Now Disney CD, she loved all the Disney films when she was small and can still quote most of The Lion King She would also like some sketching pencils bought) and Marcus from the X Factor (might present more of a challenge) DS would like Janet from the X Factor, a digital SLR camera, an electric guitar and an Apple Mac, he knows that he will not be getting any of those things. (He might get the camera if he contributes substantially from his savings and doesn't have a birthday present in April) YD has just had her birthday, so she hasn't got a huge want list, chocolate, a couple of CDs maybe. My OH wanted a Guitar Hero guitar for the Wii which I bought and put away about 6 weeks ago and he also has a large limited edition Thorntons box and some aftershave. I have hinted for The Great Bristish Bake off book, Jamie's Great Britain and HFW veg book, can anyone see a theme here? I would also like some Lacoste Touch Pink perfume and some new slippers. Redwing
We always get our niece and nephew a present and small token gifts for other members of the family Hubby and I usually get each other a small gift like a book or CD In general it never fails to amaze me how many of our friends plead 'poverty' but then buy lavish gifts at Christmas
Lewis
I haven't bought anything yet, always try to think what they'd actually use and get a few little things rather than 1 big one. The Christmas Markets opened on Thursday night in Brum, was in town but didn't feel very Christmassy at all! I really can't think of anything I need or want at the moment, and my birthday is 2 weeks before Christmas aswell I said I'd like a Cat (a Devon Rex called Trevor) or a Car (anything thats cheap to run!) ... easy Would like some money towards a car so that I don't always have to rely on borrowing Moms car - especially as I'm home and working every weekend, its just the insurance which is a killer. We'll see!
