The Dogmother
It was cold here too last night but milder this morning. Currently 13deg, overcast and mild.
Groovychook
It was lovely yesterday, sunny and warm. High cloud this morning. Still mild but no signs of any blue stuff.

Valkyrie
15 degrees and feels quite chilly. Have sneakily put on the heating as DD and myself were feeling very cold this morning. Dull and cloudy today, although the sun has sneaked through now and again. Strange as the other day was reading 15 degrees but it was sunny and it actually felt warmer! Perhaps its just seeing the sun that makes you feel that way? I gather we are supposed to get some rain tomorrow.
The Dogmother
I think I am going to have to put the lighter winter duvet on my bed when I make it at the weekend; I have been managing with my summer duvet and a light fleece blanket. No heating here yet, although it's on at work to keep the 'fairies' warm, I just turn the radiator in my office off.
Lesley
We lit the woodburner last night.......and will again tonight I think. Still wearing flip flops here as well though. It will be raining tomorrow Clare....we're going to Chipping Norton again....it always rains when we do
Ain't Nobody Here
14 degrees yesterday and hailstones . Torrential rain all day today .
The Dogmother
Shame I'm not around or I would have met you. We're praying for good weather as we are meeting my folks at the Kop Hill Climb. 11deg here this morning, dark and overcast when I got up.
Valkyrie
Sun trying to break through the cloud (sky looks rather yellow there) but they have said it's supposed to rain here today. Definitely chilly this morning. DD a happier bunny as she was warmer last night and this morning when she came out the shower. I have put the heating on. Just a little while yesterday afternoon was enough to heat it up for the evening, and it was on while ablutions were done so no cold draughts on ickle girly running around with wet hair and a towel wrapped round her bod. OH was cut off in his prime when he attempted to voice his opinion. Democracy for once actually ruled.
The Dogmother
I don't blame you, our bathroom gets quite parky too - probably to do with my liking for leaving the window open I think I'll light the stove tonight; I had it lit a bout 3 weeks ago when we had that cold snap but not since then. Eggasperated
We've got some lovely sun today, but there is still a real chill in the air in the shade.
Valkyrie
Well I've tucked the birds in with their tea and still no rain! It did turn out so much better than this morning. But my goodness, there are really ominous looking clouds to the north of us!
abwsco
Brrrrr, it's cold this morning. Needed a coat over my dressing gown when I went to let the chickens out. Outside temp showing as 1.8. Lovely and sunny though and hopefully it stays like that as we're off golfing again today.
The Dogmother
3 deg here at 6am but no frost, absolutely lovely though. Chilly this morning but it's turned into a lovely warm day OH has just informed me that he's seen a forecast for heavy snow in October- hope he's wrong! Was he looking at last year's forecasts in error? They predicted snow in October, but this year is supposed to have temperatures close to normal. merlina
thought there would be Frost here (Leics) last night - was *really* chilly and clear night. Very cold today, have had to dig out a fleece (rarely needed since middle age struck )
Groovychook
Brrrr, turned much colder here over the past hour. Fleecy jacket required here too... just pondering whether to light the rayburn tonight or not.
The Dogmother
Been a gorgeous day, although chilly in the shade. Cool this evening and I have the stove churning out heat.
Saronne
Chilly and pouring with rain in southeast Leicestershire. Woods stove burning merrily away so am feeling cosy.
Groovychook
Nasty outside- wet and cool. Just had a dry half hour to let the chooks out and now they're back in the run. Rayburn lit, feeling nice and toasty inside
The Dogmother
Same here, lit the stove first thing and it's been burning all day so my bedroom above it will be lovely and warm. Just managed to get the bunnies and chooks cleaned out today before the rain started - raining heavily and windy here, not nice at all.
Looney
It has rained nearly all day Not often I use an umbrella when nipping out into the garden but it's bucketing down and I'd be soaked through otherwise. Ho hum. If it continues I'll be moving the guinea pigs off the grass and onto the patio otherwise they'll be wading in their run Can guinea pigs swim?! The Dogmother
No, and they can't tolerate damp either. I always used to move mine into my folks' summerhouse around this time of the year. Been raining solidly since Sunday lunchtime, yesterday was very blowy too, so pretty vile but much less windy today. 10deg and bucketing when I got up at 6am, it stopped for a while but has started again and is really quite dark for this time of the day. Vikki56
Tis bucketing it down here in Ox, fortunately though I haven't had to wade through the rain t work as I am working from home today, wed & Friday as we are FINALLY getting our heating fixed (just in time I think). Am day dreaming about being able to have a bath again, although at the moment boiler man seems to be fighting with the old radiators & cause the system is being drained the door is wide open. Brrrrrr Vikki
