My first ever COF (chicken of fate) ;)

Recommended Posts

Well, I haver thought it would happen, but knock me down, it has!! I got home from work the other day to receive a panic call from parents saying there had been a tiny bantam running around their culdesac for 3 days!!, no one could catch it, but today it ran into my parents garden, and they asked if I could look after it as it was a bit worse for wear.

Now I couldn't say no could I! (even if I am downsizing  ) it's a little (not much bigger than a crow), RIR bantam. She is bald underneath and a bit smelly to say the least, but she's been treated, quarantined in a section of the spare WIR and being thoroughly spoilt. She's not stopped wolfing pellets down since I got her home.

 its a girl!

The leg ring on it is a closed ring and is from 2009, plenty of time for it to start looking like a boy in the last three years, the leg ring size is also correct for a female, its too small for it to fit a male of three years old.

 I have inside information from Cooks

And there was I staring and staring at the photo as I read your message, thinking you had bionic eyes or some technical gismo that could lift up the wing on the photo

Is she really a RIR? I don't know much about RIRs but is she not a bit dark for that and her droopy wing does not look quite like a RIR does it? Guess the breeder will have told you though
