Sad News About Hobnob.

Recommended Posts

I know Hob"Ooops, word censored!" had quite a few fans on here so I wanted to let you know that I found her dead in their run today  She was Olive Polands best friend and they'd always sit together in the same spot. When they're there I can see them from the kitchen. Most of the gang were having an afternoon snooze and I noticed that I couldn't see her. Something just felt wrong so I went out and found her

She was such an amazing girl. She adored my daughter Molly and would beg to be lifted onto her shoulder. She was the only chook to understand Olive Poland. She was a feisty girl at times and held her place nearer the top end of the flock hierachy. She only laid in her first year and decided not to bother after that. Perhaps that's why she was friends with Olive, two freeloaders together.

Little Hob"Ooops, word censored!" leaves behind a giant hole in our flock. Hob"Ooops, word censored!" was family.

I can't believe she's gone. We've lost a few old girls this year, loosing Maude was terribly tough for me because she was such a mummys girl and we spent so much time together in her final few weeks. But Hob"Ooops, word censored!"s death came out of the blue, she wasn't especially old and she one of my special girls like Olive, Tiger, Poppy & Robin who have to live forever

I just had a look through the last photo session thread I posted of her here in the summer. Hob"Ooops, word censored!" was so happy on Mollys shoulder. When she saw Molly she'd rush towards her, Molly would put her on the roof of a coop and Hob"Ooops, word censored!" would hop into her shoulder. I've hatched loads of Frizzles but never kept any because none could ever be as special as her.

These photos are lovely.
