Olly
Not to make any 'resolutions'! I do set myself goals throughout the year, but not at New Year; it's not a good time to do it, in my experience.
Charlottechicken
I don't make resolutions either. Good luck to those of you who do though, they all sound achievable too!
patsylabrador
I have one this year and I'm very excited about it. I want to learn stuff again. I have more time to myself. I don't feel in the mood for OU and feel I've ignored London recently. So, I'm planning to visit museums and go to the Gresham lectures, things like that. I'm enjoying the planning, finding things educational going on. They have to be free, that's my rule although I will pay for some exhibitions. Crazy but it's true. I think it will be fun. craftyhunnypie
I always set myself the goal of learning a new craft. In the past I've learnt crochet & last year was quilting. Next year?? I'd like to make another crochet blanket at least! I'd also like to think I can start writing a set of childrens books I have in my mind. Oh & I'd really like to open a folksy / etsy shop. The obvious resolution will be more piggies! Emma.x
freddie
To stay married for another 12 months, whilst going through menopause, ans living in a building site.... Pretty tall order, in my book.....
Egluntyne
I make the same resolution every year ... and this is not to make any resolutions as I just set myself up for failure.
AJuff
Not so much resolutions but aims and dreams for the year. 2013 here goes . . . I would like to achieve Grade 3 piano, integrate pilates into my busy life, continue to loose weight and fit into my wedding dress by 12th October anniversary, walk the Coast to Coast, complete a 65 mile Cyclone challenge, finish lots of craft UFOs, organise my finances, continue organising the house so a place for everything and everything in it's place and lastly design and create a bee friendly border in the garden. Every new years eve I look over last years' aim and dreams and see how well i've done. It keeps me focused during the long winter months, inspires me in the spring, gives me focus in the summer and makes me plan ahead in the Autumn. In prparation for 2013 I've already made a list of craft UFOs and written a craft planning list with them integrated in!!!!
Cinnamon
I don't do resolutions either, but to be honest 2012 was a rubbish year for me. I lost several older family members,I had a huge personal upheaval & trauma,& the summer was awful! I would just be happy if 2013 was more settled, kinder & sunnier

charly1979
To stay married for another 12 months, whilst going through menopause, ans living in a building site....Pretty tall order, in my book..... Good Luck hope it all goes well, Ive done the living in a building site and both me and hubby have a weekly 'im going to divorce you, you miserable ..... 'yelling match. Not yet for the menopause (my time will come) but my mum has just been through it, we are now able to have the odd joke about it but still look for the 'im going to explode and kill you signs' of which we retreat quickly and hide usully leaving those who havent seen those signs to take the explosion. Joking aside as I know its no joke my mum has found that Yoga has really helped her (and shes not the kind of person I ever thought would do such a thing, ive never done it so dont know what its like but have heard its very good ??) Wishing you a fab 2013 Oh my new years resolution is to try not to snap at the kidings and the hubby no matter how irratating they are being and to stop eating biscuits
Sageandonion
Like AJuff mine are more aims etc. 1. Lose the lard (I say this every year but I live in hope!) 2.To assist number 1, get down the gym more. 3. Learn to do patchwork/quilting. 4. Be more organised. 5. De-clutter the house from top to bottom (that way I should be more organised!) 6. Paint the hall, stairs and landing (the paint has been gathering dust in the garage for 3 years!) 7. Get two more hens. 8. Learn to ride.
HennyPenny59
To lay off red meat and poultry, and eat lots more fish and veggies, and to drastically cut the cost of our grocery bill. To start some serious scrimping to enable me and OH to save up for a motorhome for when we retire.
Willow
Last year one of my resolution was to cook more and keep up a blog - which I did This year - see more of my family especially cousins, I have great cousins but don't get to spend nearly enough time with them - finish house renovations (been 10yrs so far but most of the major work is now completed) - Get nice area to sit out in garden and to start planting it up, also grow more in kitchen garden area - walk more, I bought myself a decent waterproof & book of Thames walks today. I want to walk as much as I can of the Thames - row as much as I did last year which will be a challenge, the Thames spreads out over the meadows on side and to the rd the other at the moment:( so I'm looking at getting a rowing machine - go to at least one country I've never been to before (probably Seychelles) - read more As always I'd like to lose weight, two weddings next year so if I don't do it for that I will be fat forever I'd like to do more crafts but that isn't realistic in the next year
