abwsco
It's been baltic here since Sunday due to the wind chill. Odd day yesterday with snow flurries as well although nothing really stuck. I've golfed this afternoon though and it was gloriously sunny. Layered up though with compression layers on plus other base layers.
chickencam
We had heavy snow for about half an hour this morning, really thought the racing would be called off, but it had stopped by 9.00am with just the odd flurry during the day. It didn't seem quite as cold today but still bitter.

Lavenders_Blue
I managed to walk the dog in heavy snow this afternoon Then half an hour later it was bright sunshine again. Very, very odd!

Purplemaniacs
DS came over late morning and he had a significant amount of snow on his car, he said it had settled near Uppingham and he was unsure whether to come the country way or the main road way. He said he had funny looks in the village with snow on his bonnet, bottom of the windscreen and roof but nothing on the ground here. The Dogmother
I am sick of it too. Just heard that we may get snow over night on Tuesday and wake up to it on Wednesday It looks pretty when it is fresh, but the deer park here at work is now muddy in some areas and looks bleak. Snowyhen
Don't really mind snow, though it is weird at this time of year. But do mind the miserable rain, roll on a proper dry summer please
Lavenders_Blue
It's a lovely day here today! Now that will have tempted fate to say that, won't it?
sparkysmum
As I look out on the slushy mess that is my lawn after struggling thro bitter winds with the dogs it is hard to believe that this time last year it was 74 degrees and we were all sunbathing. True it didn't last long but I would sure love a day or two now.
The Dogmother
Me too - mine is a bit of a mess too; not as bad as last year though. Blue skies and sunshine here at the moment!
Lavenders_Blue
Ugh, my lawn is dreadful. Waterlogged and churned up in places. We are doing quite a bit of work on the garden at the moment (or at least trying to between snow storms!) so pushing wheelbarrows back and forth across it hasn't exactly helped either. It's such a small patch of lawn we'll probably end up taking it up and returfing once the work is done... and the weather improves!
The Dogmother
When you do that, think about using lawn mesh; I put some down last year and it has really saved the grass this winter.
Lavenders_Blue
Thanks DM, is it something you can buy in garden centres/DIY stores?
The Dogmother
I couldn't find it in any of those, but I got it online on ebay from a company in Coventry they don't seem to have it on their site at the moment, but you could try asking them as a place to start. Try this listing
