Charlottechicken
Just bumping this up to say it's snowing in Birmingham right now Only tiny flakes, but a lot of them, all swirling around. Not settling thank goodness, but blowing a gale too. OH wants to go for a walk in the countryside tomorrow. I may stay in the car
merlina
woke up this morning to lots of snow. Lots and lots Happily the students cancelled today's lectures before I did - so I can get on with the important task of ministering to hens and the chilly sparrows
Egluntyne
Heavy snow in Sheffield overnight, and it looks set in for the day.
The Dogmother
We had about half an inch of wet snow over night, which is slushy and slippy this morning. Very windy and more snow forecast; the estate at work is on a hill and the wind is bowling across it so everything is banging about and the remote controlled farm gates aren't working properly
Charlottechicken
Woke this morning to find a couple of inches of snow, everything covered. One set of tyre tracks down the middle of the road. Now, three hours later, the road is clear and the snow on the pavements is disappearing as people walk over it More snow forecast for tomorrow (blizzard conditions ) and Tuesday. Lavenders_Blue
Snowy, wet, windy and generally yucky here today. I'm going to wrap myself up like the Michelin man and brave the elements with the dog. Wish me luck!
bluekarin
Snowy, wet, windy and generally yucky here today. I'm going to wrap myself up like the Michelin man and brave the elements with the dog. Wish me luck! Good luck! I shall also be sporting the same fetching attire later
The Dogmother
No snow here yet but it's VERY windy indeed. I understand that we're due a 'big snow event' tomorrow though.
patsylabrador
Heavy snow in London, well, this bit anyway. Don't know about London as such. That's put paid to any plans for going out on m'bike tbh. Don't fancy slipping and sliding about on snowy roads.
The Dogmother
We had sleet last night and have about an inch of wet snow this morning and more falling. Just about to take the dogs out and see what the main roads are like; I need to go over to Brackley to collect the dog meat and bones. counturchickens
A few inches this morning, as we don't have to go anywhere I won't be. Getting a bit fed up about all the garden jobs that I can't do now!
Purplemaniacs
We have a couple of inches here. It is supposed to be the archery club's indoor championships this afternoon which marks the end of the indoor season. Good Friday is our first outdoor shoot I have not printed out any paperwork for the shoot yet, waiting to see if it is cancelled, if it keeps snowing I may not go as our little road will be tricky Chrissie
The Dogmother
The snow here is very wet, we have clear tracks in our road and the main roads are clear. I took the precaution of parking facing downhill last night as snow was forecast - it helps to get out if you can slide down the hill! Cinnamon
After weeks of jealousy reading about other peoples accumulations, today we have snow I love it!
abwsco
Snow here. Didn't golf yesterday afternoon due to the high winds and the course is now closed. Looks like we'll be doing housework instead It's also DD's 21st today and sounds like she's coming down with a stomach bug so she's said not to visit. GD Lauren already has it
Charlottechicken
Several inches of the white stuff here, bit fed up with it to be honest, even though it looks lovely. Chicken run roof is bent at a jaunty angle under the weight, girls are not happy about the situation I've been out for a walk in it (wellies required), not too far, and it is hard going to walk on and still snowing and quite blowy too! OH has contacted all his students and cancelled all today's lessons, so no earnings for today and probably tomorrow unless we have some miraculous thaw overnight The rugby match for this afternoon has been cancelled so if he stays in the house he will be moping around Hoping to kick him out to the studio to be creative in some way! Snowy
We woke to a couple of inches this morning and it is still coming down. Forecast says it will continue until tomorrow! Was hoping to go camping over the easter weekend, but at this rate everything will still be waterlogged

It is still snowing here but fine flakes and the laying snow is quite wet, may walk to the farm shop later for some vegies and perhaps have some lunch while I am there if I can persuade OH to come too. craftyhunnypie
Whoa! We had a lot over night. It's the East wind off the mountains that has made it worse - big snow drifts. The A44 is closed, so we are ' cut off'. Had to dig out the eglus & a couple had a bit of snow inside them, where it had blown in through the gap. All chooks are safe though - thank goodness! Had yummy egg on toast, lots of hot drinks, will do some home baking & curry for tea. Bit of crochet & that's my day sorted. Brrrr, much too cold to do anything else. Hope everyone else is safe & warm. Emma.x
Chook n Boo Mum
No snow here, tho evilly cold wind is blowing! Had lots of liquid snow...so much that DS's Duke of Edinburgh training expedition has been cancelled....and school has apparently had sufficient heavy snow, either land or forecast, for the e-learning system to be triggered
The Dogmother
It has stopped here now and is melting quickly. Lots of standing water all over the place.
merlina
More snow Looked like it might melt quite quickly like yesterday, but there's more been coming down for a couple of hours now. Glad I don't have to be anywhere, but the chooks are very unamused
The Dogmother
It's trying to snow fine stuff here again. Just been out with the dogs and there's an alarming amount of standing water, the river looks like it will breach when it all melts. I am struggling to find any dog walks which aren't flooded
soapdragon
OH had to get from Oxford to Norwich for 9.00am this morning and so, in view of the forecasts, he went up yesterday afternoon to stay over. I wonder if he will make it back? The op was scheduled for 9.00am and he said he'd call as he left - its now 1.00pm and not a peep - stuck in a snowdrift somewhere . I think the boys and I will be on our own for supper!
patsylabrador
Drove to near Cambridge via A1M and A505. Grotty but running well if that's any help. Quick question - yesterday I saw lots of lambs in the fields, today I saw none. Do farmers keep them in a barn when it's bad or maybe I just didn't pass sheep farms today!
