counturchickens
Looks like it's on it's way. At work I am the one who monitors the weather as I am the saddo who normally knows! There is a serious point though as we supply medicines to hospitals so we need people to try and get to work, so we'll be talking to people about how they can get to work safely. Otherwise planning a stay at home weekend in case it is as bad as they think.
superkitty
It's been pretty bad here since Monday afternoon...if its coming your way now, brace yourself
chuckmum6
There is still a fair amount of frozen snow here, topped up with the odd dusting over night. It was -7 when I got home at 5:30 tonight, so goodness knows how cold it will drop down to. Hopefully there will be enough snow here for at least one snow day next week
Space Chick
We are due heavy snow on Friday it had better not scupper my plans, as OH is whisking me away for a romantic weekend as my birthday present
craftyhunnypie
Ooo I'll say Happy Birthday now, as I don't know exactly when it is. We are due a bit from 10pm tonight onwards. Some more tomorrow. Heavy snow on Friday early hours & light throughout the day all day Friday. Some Saturday & Sunday too. Best organise some feed for the sheep, as they won't be able to munch the grass! Emma.x
Lavenders_Blue
We have got frozen snow here too. I have spent the last couple of days slithering about on the pavements like Jayne Torvill (except much less elegant) while I've been out with the dog. The chooks are seriously unimpressed. We have more forecast for the weekend so may well just batten down the hatches.
Charlottechicken
Nothing left on pavements here, but frozen snow still in my frozen garden We are due a large load on Friday, according to the weather forecast, thankfully I don't work on Fridays I am popping to the local supermarket tomorrow though, to stock up on a few bits for mum in case the pavements are dodgy early next week. The Dogmother
Still plenty on the grass here in North Oxfordshire, with lots of hoar frost clinging to every available surface. The sun is out now but we're also due heavy snowfall on Friday night and through the weekend..... we'll see. If it's bad then Phil will stay put this weekend as they are quite high in the Chilterns and he daren't get snowed out again like he did two winters ago. Griffin
Spotted a few flakes falling when Asda arrived. It's supposed to start tomorrow morning, some sites say light snow, others say heavy, so we'll see....
The Dogmother
I see that they've brought the timing forward now; it was supposed to be Friday evening.
chickencam
We have had a few flakes falling for about half and hour and it is now coming down quite steadily. Just checked Met Office website and they are still saying nothing until early hours and not heavy until 9am. I am uncertain about the children going to school tomorrow, they are at school 5 and 8 miles away respectively and have a good school coach service, but if it turns out anything like as bad as they say, then I am not sure it is worth the risk. The Dogmother
It's trying here, just a few small flakes. I'm on snow duty to text staff members who live out of the area and let them know what it's like here; this town is well known for its own micro-climate

The Dogmother
As luck would have it the MD's Defender is in dock for repairs so he'll have to crawl in form his village in a hired Focus I'm going to bring some more wood up the garden this evening if I get time but it's not a problem having it down the bottom. lillybettybabs
I was looking a a snowplough for Dennis to help the villagers but i was told that if i cleared the roads and someone has an accident i will be liable so i will have to leave it un-passable
chickencam
Still half heartedly snowing here, just been out to put the chooks away, they have had a happy afternoon garden trashing, and I gave their glugs a good scrub in hot soapy water and then filled them up with warm water, what a softy am I , they were guzzling away happily when I came in.
