Luvachicken Posted November 7, 2013 Share Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) Having finished at my preschool on the last day of term in July I finally got offered a new job today Admittedly it might only be until Christmas, but at least I have got my foot in the door. It is at a little school that I applied for a job for before 1/2 term but didn't get. I phoned the next day though, asking if I could volunteer after 1/2 term instead. The head was over the moon with that and I was going to start helping next week, but then she phoned me this morning and asked if I would like to work with a little boy with some problems starting on Monday next week. I think that did clinch it. At my original interview she did say I would make an excellent classroom assistant - but she didn't have that job. I hope I can do a good job for her and the little boy. The children showed me their pictures they were drawing and the little boy didn't seem to have too many problems for me to deal with. He held my hand, asked me by my name and was generally pretty good. I won't see the children tomorrow because I am booked on a Christmas craft course that a friend and I booked ages ago.
