Clucker1 - that is so funny. YS has been asking for a pony for years and years. On our holiday this year we were in Heidelberg and I saw a shop window which had marionette ponies dancing. I went in to buy one because I thought it would be a funny Christmas present. It was such a weird shop - it was selling the fiercest weapons, dreadful looking knives and guns, robbery style balaclavas, pepper spray, dancing marionette ponies and gorgeous dirndls. Very confusing shop.

I already have mine - it's a silicone sheet that goes over the feed dogs on the sewing machine for free motion quilting which I intend to practice when I can get to my machine.

My dad rang today to ask what I'd like; I asked for a new hose reel - one with wheels as the bearings have gone on mine, and a new chain for my chainsaw

 

Joking aside, I got some socks last year, not just any old socks though; they are Sealskinz waterproof ones, great for yomping with the dogs when your wellies leak, and not cheap either. I also got a pair of their Sea Leopard thermal, waterproof gloves, which I really love as they also have grippy palms for driving.

Oooh I like the idea of the gloves for driving. I still get my fingertips go tingly and white when I touch the cold steering wheel. Been fine all summer and now it's sitting on my fingers time otherwise.

They aren't cheap Val, hence putting them on my Christmas list, but a real bonus when dog walking in the cold and wet.

I used to have some great riding gloves - wool on the back but non-slip on the palms and fingers. DD had those when I gave up riding and now I think there is only the one. Pretty much like her socks.

I really really need (not want) big difference! a Border terrier puppy. I already have one Border but would like a little pal for her. I was keeping everything crossed as last time my hubby went into hospital 6 years ago - when he came out he gave in and we got Ziggy. He has just been into hospital again and I did remind him of this fact but so far he is refusing. He says Ziggy likes being an only dog as she gets all the attention and cuddles. I shall keep on using my (obviously lacking) powers of pursuasion!

Me too - I keep waking up at 4am and not being able to sleep deeply again after that

Me three (or four?) - I would love to have a night of uninterrupted sleep without waking. I have no trouble getting to sleep, but staying asleeep seems to be a different matter

I've been sleeping a lot better since taking Menopace Plus - not sure if you have to have menopausal symptoms to take them!
