 to all those names.

Wonder if any of them will end up doctors, Rt Hons, etc  .

At least it'll be easy for them to clarify their names when giving them out as adults - "Tylan as in the vetinary antibiotic", "Map as in Google", "Twinkle as in star" and "Fanta as in orange fizzy drink".

What are their parents thinking, seriously  .

I read in the papers a few months ago about the French authorities not allowing a set of parents to register their child because of the name that they had chosen.......can't be sure but I think it was Strawberry (ie; fraise!)

When I went to register YS with the hospital registrar there was a couple ahead of me who called their son Merlot.....they told me they already had a daughter called Chardonnay; for the very first time in my life I was totally speechless and could only manage an inane grin!!!!

A friend of mine knows a Chardonnay. Three guesses what her brother is called...

Authorities banned a family from naming their kid Flower. Their last name was Pot.... :wall:

Edit: calling your kid Nxt, when your last name is Drink, is somehow acceptable :eh:

We had a baby called Beyonce at my last practice. She was a large baby and not that pretty and quite a few remarks were made re the fact she wasnt as attractive as the woman she was named after. She may well blossom and be a swan later on in life. I do feel for these tots with silly names.

I've come or across one or two parents who've later regretted naming their children after "celebrities" - it seems like the parents were quite young when they had children and they've sort of grown up together but are stuck with the name ...

I still find it amusing that Katie Hopkins rants about various names she considers inappropriate - she, apparently, doesn't like place names as names for children ... not sure why she called her daughter India, then? :anxious:

My husband liked the name Mercedes I did too though but then I told him no cars and no football teams because he told me no flora or fauna. Well that put paid to Forrest then. Poor kid probably would have been called Gump!

But then I said no names beginning with B - with Leach as a surname the little darlings would probably be nicknamed Domestos or Harpic!
