Blackrocksrock
Dreadful, senseless waste of life - thinking about all those who were involved today.

mullethunter
I'm worried about the world. And thoughts are with those affected. Partners daughter is coming home from Berlin today - will be happier when she's back.
soapdragon
Terrible waste of life and so much anguish and grief for all those innocents. The world is, indeed, a worrying and frightening place. One can't help but wonder...where next? I am an aetheist (even if I can't spell it!) but do wonder how, when all religions are supposed to preach tolerance and peace, we have come to this? Grandmashazzie
Terrible, terrible news.I just wonder where next and how this can be resolved,I can only see escalation.
bluekarin
So frightening, and such a waste of life I was watched the news last night after seeing the trending feed on Facebook, so first heard about 11pm, and then it was, I say only, but only 35 people feared dead. I just don't know what to say.
Groovychook
Senseless and so sad I feel for all those poor souls affected by this horror.
mullethunter
I too am an atheist. So much killing is about religion and is all for nothing. I hate the fact that you can't reason with these people - that's what's so frightening.

Daphne
It is shocking and tragic beyond belief We are in France, there were police at the border but they were not stopping people. We had a minutes silence at the local running club this morning. I can't imagine the terror all these innocent civilians went through, waiting, you find yourself wondering about life and death at the most unlikely moments, far more than is normal. I have been particularly struck by the tricolours everywhere - they are up for Armistice Day, but they seem especially powerful right now. Alis girls
I know someone pulled the pregnant lady back in - the one hanging on a ledge - any update on her and her unborn baby. Pointless and sad waste of life.
patsylabrador
My thoughts today. It's never going to stop because it's something humans do. Wars and massacres and acts of extreme cruelty are a constant in our history. Now it's Isis, in a decade it'll be someone else. It's nothing new and it's never going to stop. It's about power and controlling, sometimes under the guise of religion but always about control.
The Dogmother
I think you're right PL. I am sickened this morning to hear that France has launch retaliatory strike against Syria; I can understand their grief and need to be seen to be doing something, but surely two wrongs don't make a right, and the wiser man will turn the other cheek, tighten security and learn from this. I am really not sure what to think about all this.
chickencam
Tit for tat will never work, there is long and very thought provoking rhyme that they all should take one of Human nature at its worst but along side this are always the ones of human nature at its best, we need to hold onto that at times like this. The Dogmother
I agree lived through IRA. I fear a British town will be hit soon esp in run up to Christmas. Hopefully I will be wrong. I'm Me too; I was working in Knightsbridge when Harrods was bombed. I went back to work the Monday afterwards. We've decided at work to cancel out the evilness and bad karma by doing good deeds; we held a minute's silence at 11am, and then donated some much needed office equipment to a local charity. I feel that we all could work to counteract this badness.
Alis girls
Sorry I didn't finish my post what a lovely idea. I found out on line the pregnant lady is safe and they have found the man who rescued her. Both OK. My OH also worked through IRA bombings and was in work when London was bombed some yrs back. By carrying on we are sticking up 2 fingers to these fools.

Ain't Nobody Here
So sad to see the photos and descriptions of some of those who were killed. A poor little 18 month old child lost both his parents.
