Goosey Lucy
You've not met my youngest..yet...he's adorable when he's on form but is much less biddable than the other. But then again he is totally emotional, we were at a new soft play/adventure place this morning and he came running up, flung his arms around me and said 'thank you mum', all for taking him out! (We keep him chained to the radiator usually )
Geoid
(We keep him chained to the radiator usually ) calls NSPCC
Goosey Lucy
calls NSPCC I've nearly called them myself some days! He's very much like the little girl from the Nursery Rhyme ...'and when she was good she was very, very good but when she was bad she was horrid.' I keep telling myself it's a phase, he'll grow out of it, but I'm still waiting. The good times more than make up for the bad, tho'.

Aunty e
How about some nice little shetlands? also dinky coos, but might be hard to get hold of, being rare breed. Or a lovely placid jersey, with bootiful brown eyes. When I lived in shetland, the pig farm up the road had a gorgeous highland cow called yeti, who was as good as gold, and didn't mind my rubbish milking (I was only 6). I like cows. Louise
That is a rare highland cow Aunty They are gorgeous but they are notoriously stroppy and those horns
Lesley
Just when we were ready to take the cows off to the abattoir.......... I was going to pop over to the abattoir this week and have a chat about taking the two heifers............... ....and now there is a suspected case of Blue-Tongue in Shropshire... We wanted to rest the grass so that there would be new grass for any lambs and the supplementary animal feed is costing a fortune at the moment - if we keep them in the barn to rest the grass then it would cost us even more in feed
Ain't Nobody Here
Not again . Poor you .
Lesley
Poor farmers who have to make a living - we are lucky in that we both still work and don't rely on being able to move animals...... I shouldn't be complaining really............ but I was so looking forward to being rid of those scatty cows

Sheilaz
Oh no . Oh no! from me as well. I was going to ask you about the cattle in my last message to you, but didn't dare.
Lesley
Carl has just reminded me that we can move animals within the blue tongue area - so as long as the abattoir also falls inside the area there wouldn't be a problem. It is in the very south of the county though so we'll have to wait and see........
Egluntyne
Oh no from me too. I hope things sort out for you and that you can stick to your plan.

Lesley
It will be a weekday morning at 7am Clare We're going to put the stock trailer in for them to get used to sleeping in it..........it should be easy then to shut the door one night and take them off the next morning. That's the theory anyway......
Louise
Bluetongue is only going to be an issue till the summer Lesley as it will be everywhere once midge season starts up again Once that happens the movement restrictions will stop being necessary personally I think it is a waste of time as nmobody tells the midges where to go Good luck with shifting them
Lesley
You're quite right Louise.....I think the movement restrictions covered most of the country the last time anyway
