Rhapsody
Sorry to be posting up another topic guys, but I wanted to show you all this and I felt it deserved a thread of its own. I was fed up of seeing Edge shivering so bringing her in to tend to her latest war wounds I had an idea..... I got an old ribbed sports sock and cut off the foot, then cut two slits for wings, carefully put it over her head using the cuff of the sock as a rather lovely roll neckand threaded her wings through and voila! She looks thrilled doesnt she? "Put the tv on will you? I'm feeling strangely cosy" She is in the cat box in the kitchen burbling away, hope that means she is enjoying the warmth! dancing cloud
Wish I'd thought of something like this for my little bald Joy when she first arrived. It didn't stop raining for the first two weeks and I'm sure she must have been cold, but it did encourage her to snuggle up to me for warmth and become a cuddly chicken (which then encouraged others). I think your little Edgie looks so sweet you could use her as a model, as you may have found an untapped market - chicken fashions! They could be warm and sensible for those temporarily lacking feathers, and changeable accessories for those that come with their own clothes so they don't feel left out ...
