Ardene5
Hi everyone What a super bunch of people who are weather watches when I saw that we were change to " The Weather Thread" I did not think we would be up to page 89 so soon. Soon shall have to start a new Weather Thread II please keep you the great work wherever you live. We some times get people from other parts of the World chatting about the weather in their area which is so nice to hear. If you know them invite them to chat about the weather and other things more as it is very nice to hear about there area. Here today in Preesall near Blackpool it started wet then became dry for most of the day the as night came it rain again. How has the weather been with you wherever you live in the World. Egluntyne
He might have struggled to get on the bus wearing ice skates. However, he still has his ice hockey blades, so I will pass on your tip to him
Lesley
I think it will be icy out here this morning - a hard frost....although my weather station insists it is +3.
Groovychook
We've had hail overnight, which has frozen over. It made for a perilous trip to the this morning! It was 0.5 degrees at 8.am and very still.
The Dogmother
Very clear this morning and +0.8 at 6.30am. Not so much frosty as icy - clear black ice! We must have had a shower of something too as there were spatters of wet when I went outside. Now clear and sunny but very cold.
chickencam
According to my thermometer it didn't drop below freezing last night, but there was hard clear ice on the Eglu this morning and I had to give the egg port a tug to open it. There were loads of reports of bad black ice on local roads too
The Dogmother
There were loads of accidents around here too Liz, and the national traffic slot on radio 2 this mornign read like the end of the world! Clouding over now and a bitter wind.. wonder if it will snow.
chickencam
It has been quite sunny again here for most of the day, but heavy rain is forecast for overnight It feels quite a bit colder than yesterday because there is a cold wind.
ali-s
A better day today. Cold and frosty but the sun has been shining It feels quite warm in the sun although frosty still in the shade. No idea of temperature until I buy my new weather station on Monday.
Egluntyne
It has been glorious here, but very cold again..There are sheets of ice where there are normally puddles in the garden. The hens slide about on them.
chelsea
its still like night here, dull, dimpsy, wet & windy. I've put the heat lamp on for the girls for an hour to bring a bit of sunshine to their run.
Christian
Grey and miserable here today, but 9C already It feels warm, maybe that is due to how cold it has been?
Old Speckled Hen
6 degrees here. Overcast and breezy. Patches of blue sky in the distance. Birds have been investigating the nest boxes, plenty of mosquitos or whatever in the garden so perhaps spring is not too far away
