Ms Marple
Just recently I have started to venture outside this part of the forum............ On Sunday I bought a cube!!!!! (from Bellekatz). Today I stumbled across a quite stroppy part of the forum in the chickens section!!! All about egg-eating birds. It seemed quite 'heated ' to me so I ran back here to the FUNZONE before I left a comment that I might live to regret Not going to go out again for a while I think
Egluntyne
You bought a cube! Congratulations. Does that mean you are getting more chickens?
Chook n Boo Mum
It's not always stroppy on "Chickens", I think there was a bit of misunderstanding on that thread as it wasn't terribly clear what the intentions were. All sorted now though I hope! I keep venturing to other bits, then become obsessed there too, which just extends the time I already spend on here Congrats on the cube, what colour is it? Have you got it yet? Where are the piccies?!!!!!! Sha x
Plum
Y ou got me worried there. I thought you'd found a life outside The forum.
Redwing
Congratulations on your cube do you have a chicken shopping list? Since joining the forum I have only seen four threads where things have got in the slighest bit dodgy (including that crossed wires thread) so I think you were unlucky, as you know its a family forum and the mods just won't stand for anything bad
Ms Marple
I am sure you are right about the other forum. Just my luck to pick that thread for starters. In answer to the other questions, the cube is ,has no run, but I haven't got it yet- probably next weekend. My plans are walk-in run somehow before the end of the year and then definitely some more CHICKENS and hopefully a few ex- batts in the eglu which has a run. Just got to persuade hubby that walk-in run is more important than - the kitchen, the plumbing, the bathroom etc, etc. He doesn't know for sure that I've bought it but we discussed it. It will be a bit like when I have been shopping and I appear in something new. The standard line is 'I suppose you've had that since before we got married!' (27 years on). My favourite forum at the moment apart from this one is walk-in runs Plum - I could never leave now- I am desperately trying to get to 500 posts

Lesley
Y ou got me worried there. I thought you'd found a life outside The forum. Why is there one?! Just what I was thinking! - although I do venture into another one which does have big 'debates'.....I go to look rather than join in You've confused us with mention of 'Forum' Ms.M. - you ventured into a different section and found a stroppy thread........... There are some occasionally, as long as no forum rules are broken they are left to rumble on.
Olly
The beauty of the Omlet forum is that you can have a free and lively debate on here without people getting nasty. There's room for all sorts of views on here! Funny, when I started on the Forum I only looked at Chickens, and Chicken Health (spent far too much time in there and scared myself!) Then I discovered the NB .... the rest is history! I'm a regular reader of Green Thinking, and SelfSufficient, and I too am addicted to the WIR thread at the moment. I dip in and out of other sections from time to time. No wonder I never get anything done! I need to leave for work in 8 minutes ... still in my dressing-gown,
craftyhunnypie
I always check nesting box, chickens, wanted, all things nice & crafty fingers. I sometimes venture into eggs & self sufficiency. I have also bought my red eglu through the forum. It's a great forum & I have been known to get into some heated discussions - but hey it's a forum - everyone is entitled to their contribution & opinion. At the end of the day, things blow over & we all remain friends. That's the beauty of this forum! Emma.x
chickencam
This obviously where all my time goes. I read most areas I spend most of my time in NB and All Things Nice
dancing cloud
Life outside the forum? What's that? Sorry you found that particular thread, as omleteers are usually really lovely, patient, supportive and everything a newbie like me needs when asking daft questions . I've even met some of them and they are just as lovely in person too (and make excellent cakes!) Venture out again when you feel safe and you'll soon see what I mean
Tiggy
it took me a while to venture to other parts of the forum but I do it all the time now, I've got free seeds and sold bits & peices of chicken kit and met a few fellow omleteers its all good fun, there are a few heated debates occassionally but thats life
Karen & co.
I tend to have a quick flick through all the sections, could be why I take so long and always the Celerations for Birthday wishes Karen x
Geoid
You think venturing into other parts of the forum is bad? Try going into the wiki, that place is scary!
Ms Marple
Note to self - like I always tell the kids at school every subject has its vocabulary and you need to learn it to be comfortable. So:- One forum - the Omlet Club Forum Many sections - Nesting box, chickens, WIR Thousands of threads -and so little time.. The best bit???? The Omletteers Signing out, Desperately worried (as now signing in at work too )

It was an emotive topic but I didn't think anyone was unpleasant (or do I spend so much time working with engineers my view of normality is skewed )

Ain't Nobody Here
No-one will be interested in that topic now, Redwing . Not now hunky gardener isn't around any more . I check out all the threads (possibly the reason why I'm a Superchicken already ). I find it all interesting and entertaining .
