    • Neither - I leave it on the cistern/floor/shelf

    • I don't - the toilet roll fairy does it!

Definitely, without question, hanging down the front. I will change rolls in public places, but have to control myself in people's homes.

No-one has mentioned my particular reasoning, so I will! If the paper is hanging down the back, it can brush on the wall behind it, which may be dirty, or worse a spider or something horrendous might be on the paper and I wouldn't see it. With the paper hanging in front I can scrutinize it as it comes over the top and know that the underneath has been inside the roll and therefore safe from contamination. :vom:

Am I a bit loopy? :?

Quite honestly - I don't see the point of toilet roll holders. You only have to change the roll over on a pretty frequent basis and we have one holder that jumps out at me when I have tried to do the deed so I just :talk2hand:

I guess our household is quite unusual in that I would quite happily just leave the paper "un-holdered" but OH prefers it over the top so that is generally how it ends up.

Hence, I think that I am the first to vote that the toilet fairy does it :)

Since the purpose of the toilet roll is all that matters and that there is some on the roll left in the toilet and not finished and no-one thought to get a new one then really DOES IT MATTER ONE JOT which way round it goes!.

I personally just put it on and never think and lets just say never look either at anyone elses except when I was on holiday the landlady folded up the sheet on itself nicely - why would you do this?

Down the back, down the back *stamps foot*, and yes, I too change it in other peoples houses :lol: .

If it hangs down the back you can leave it so the end doesn't even show and then it looks really neat. I don't know why this bothers me so much as the rest of the house can be a bomb site, but the loo roll has to be that way. Luckily for me OH thinks all the paper is changed by the toilet paper fairy so I get my own way every time  .

I also have to use charmin, as it gives off no dust when you tear it. other brands make me cough until I :vom: . Just thought I'd really involve you all in the whole process, since we were sharing  .

Down the front of course. At work we have this infernal contraption which means if u r cack-handed like moi you end up with little bit of paper not sufficient to wipe the derriere of a mouse (Henthusasitic take note) let alone someone like me with what my OH calls a shapely butt :D i am amazed that the forums on this site are so humourous I have pleats sometimes at the subjects which get aired  What next? loo seats up or down.......

On the very rare occasion that somone else in the family has replaced the toilet roll but the incorrect way I have to change it round to the correct way  Normally though they just leave the empty tube hanging on the holder

Same at my house :wall:
