G Force in the ladies loo

Recommended Posts

Went into a supermarket convenience today and washed my hands, as you do. Then put my hands under the drier.

YIKES  . The skin on my hands was moving and flapping about like I was in a supersonic jet  . (I don't have particularly fat hands, or loose skin in case you're wondering!) It was such a strong blast my hands were dry in seconds 8) . I kept them under it, watching my skin flap about for an extra minute or two :lol: .

Sorry if this is old news but it was new to me!

We have one of those driers in the ladies at the health club that I belong to. Every time it goes off, a small child cries with fear and I nearly shoot through the roof. I don't use it as it scares me how much my skin moves!

By the way - fab avatar!

Fascinating and a little alarming too. Makes you wish Mr Dyson had confined his activities to vacuum cleaners.

They do work though. Much more efficient than those which just leave you with hot wet hands.

I saw one once that had a post it note on it saying 'press here for a personalised message from the CEO.' :D

I think the Dyson driers are great - we first saw them a few years ago when they were on trial at the Eden Project in Cornwall. The design dries quickly and stops the air beeing circulated (with germs) around the room.

When we first used in the trial they had instructions which work well, but I think now they are more common this isn't the case. If you just slide your hands slowly down into the centre of the slot and then remove them it is job done & no issue.

Excuse my ignorance - Dyson? Are they yellow and grey?

I am sitting here chuckling thinking about small children squeeling in fear of a hand drier!

Well, I am allowed (Gus is not yet 4 and has only just got over his fear of them!)

I thought the thread was about "When Women Rule the World" ha ha ha!:lol:

OH had to drag me out of the toilets when I first encountered one of these. . I put my face underneath it (Obviously I couldn't see what it looked like, but I bet it was cool  ). It felt well wierd, only thing was though, I TOTALLY dried out my mouth and lips up in seconds. I could hardly move my tongue or lips they were so dry they went all stuck in place like when you put your tongue on a dry ice lolly!

I really wanted to see what it looked like on your face, but OH refused to oblige.
