Redwing
Is there a mystery in your life that may never be answered? do you look at a house and wonder who lives there for example? This is my mystery: There is a field just off the M4 in Berkshire with a whole load (and I mean LOADS 20+) of white ponies in, all very small, all very pretty, all purest white I have always wondered who owns this herd of ponies, is it a rich countess? is it a mad lady who didnt get to have a white pony as a child? is it a company who supply cute white ponies for adverts or pantomimes? They don't all look like the same breed so I dont think its a breeder What is your mystery? Edited October 23, 2009 by Guest

Ooh ooh I know the field you mean with the little white horses (if its the one near the M4 in Reading?) and have always wondered the same You never know with the power of Omlet someone on here might know I have quite a few of those "I wonder" mysteries but for me too, the biggest one is going to be tracking my family history - only tentatively done so far but already mysterious (including a possible murder ) - I have to get to the bottom of that Lisa P
Space Chick
I once had a really cool mystery solved. After my Nanna died I had all the photos that were in her house, and there was a photo of her with some other women, and it looked like a party. They all looked so happy and friendly I thought, I wonder who these people are, were they all my Nannas friends. Turns out when I met OH's grandmother and she was asking me about where I was from etc, it turned out that she was friends with my Nanna So the next time I saw her I took the photo, she was able to identify herself in the photo and everyone else They were all friends that had stuck together in the war, it was wonderful to hear as I also got to hear some really cool stories about what my Nan was like when she was younger (and she was a bit of a hell raiser )

When I was a child we had a large paddock which we used to rent out to people & one we had about 20 teeny pure white circus ponies living in it, so these could be circous ponies too, working or retired

Alis girls
I've suspected that there are a lot of skeletons in cupboards in my family which would account for the behaviour of various members of my family. I doubt I'll ever get to the bottom of it as many of the family are deceased. on a lighter note - why doesnt washing find the laundry basket (one in each bedroom) always ends up on floor

mostin
My mystery is................ There is a house just a few streets from me, and it looks completely deserted. It's weird because the house next to it is really O.T.T. it is a housing estate full of boring semi's but they have decorated it like a swiss chalet. It's so twee I almost expect it to have fake snow on it . And then next door to it is the derelict mess . The grass is about two feet tall and paint is peeling off all the doors and window frames. When I was delivering leaflets when we lost a cat I went up to the door to post one, and there was loads of post on the mat inside. I thought it must be empty, but I think I've seen someone inside over recent times. It must really annoy the next door neighbours with their perfect little chalet , I want to know what they think about living next door to such a dump. I also want to know if someone does live there, or is it just abandonned? I drive past it every day and I always wonder .

Valkyrie
Ooh Monster House. I wonder if there's a body inside? Is the back door unlocked? Can you sneak a peek? Probably left to someone who is letting the house run down in order to knock it down and rebuild several in it's place. I've seen the little ponies too. Why are there so many piebald cobs around here - never with anyone, just herds increasing. Methinks they are destined for someone's dinner in France. I hope not. I love to see the foals bouncing around. There are also loads of the same sort of horses near Alton too.
The Dogmother
When I was born, a couple living next door top my folks had a little girl a few days later - she was as blonde as I was dark, with a mass of blonde curls. Their surname was Daniels and he belonged to a jazz band. The girl's name was Lauren Daniels. The couple split up and moved away, lost touch and I'd love to see her again. My parents have photos of us together.

Old Speckled Hen
I would like to know why any queue I join suddenly grinds to a halt? Yesterday I passed through the M6 Toll. All the booths were open and largely free. The guy infront of me wavered and I just knew The night was drawing in, I was tired and only half way home. He pulled up, pressed the assistance button which was answered after a leisurely interval. His £20 note was changed so that he could deposit £4.70 in the cash receptacle but oh dear he'd parked too far forward( I must admit I was right on his bumper ) and had to wriggle over the handbrake to the back, wind the window down, plonk his money in and re-wriggle back into the driver's seat. I could write a book on queues or should that be I could write a book while waiting in them
