A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Well, some slight family, suit, dress and car breaking down permanently yesterday kerfuffles later, and I'm off to get married tomorrow. In a bucket of a Mondeo which has dragons on the steering wheel. The OH loves dragons, and I fear they may have been the clincher in his purchasing decision. We're off tomorrow, and getting married mid-week. Eeekers! Do you feel different after? Wish me luck!

Space Chick
Congratulations, have a fab time and enjoy it. You won't need luck, you are obviously in love from your previous posts I didn't feel any different afterwards, although Phil likes an occasional pet name for me which is "strifey wifey"
Cooks
I lost one of my nicknames when i got married.. Pukka Girlfriend.. yes I still married him. I did laugh at the dragons on the steeing wheel comment, thats as good a reason to buy a car as any I think..

bluekarin
Wishing you well on your big day I hope, with all that's been happening, it goes how you want it and you both have a wonderful day. I didn't feel different afterwards. It did take me a while to get used to my new surname. My best friend even slipped a few times and when annoyed called me by my full name. I'm sure it doesn't happen to everyone, but I was fine before the service right up to when I had to get in the car to go there, and then the tears started falling I was fine afterwards though. Hubby, however, fully blubbed at the rehersal

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Rehearsal?! I'd forgotten about one of them! I've just emailed off my exact preference for service order and words to the registrars and presume they read them script-style, having approved them (which they have). Dang! KNEW I'd forgotten something!!!
Alis girls
Wish you many happy years together and if you are as happy as me and OH you'll be fine.
sadietoo
I'm sure you'll have a fab day, but what matters most is that you are marrying someone you really love.... It poured with rain on our Wedding Day (a Thursday!) and we all got drenched, the few snapshots we have to record the great event have everyone looking like they've just had a bucket of water thrown at them...with hair plastered to their heads and mascara sliding down their cheeks..Actually it was just half a dozen friends and us...family feuds between OH's divorced parents made it very awkward to plan anything and have more family ...and anyway I was nine months pregnant at the time. I felt the Registrar rushed us through the words a bit. ...but it was a fantastic day, and 20 years later we are still as happy together as we were then. Every best wish for a wonderful future together
