Phone call from Ireland to tell me daughter is on drip in hospital after vomiting for too long - she is very dehydrated and is on the second bag as I type. She sounded quite fine but as I am due to go and visit for a break next Thursday I am hoping she will be better by then as she is the only driver out of her and her partner!. I will have to drive if necessary and not so keen over there as the roads round drogheda and dublin are very busy.

Keep fingers crossed she is ok to leave hospital tomorrow.

I am off there on THursday from aberdeen to dublin so hopefully she will be better by then so happy to muck in and do housework for her if needed for the weekend as she has not been well for a few weeks - I love it over there and we WERE to go shopping in Banbridge to a large outlet shopping centre and Ikea in Dublin - hopefully we still will get there as I was hoping to take an empty suitcase or nearly empty!! I can go earlier if needed though as have days left to take for holidays.

Doing well tonight = but still on a drip and still in ketosis but had toast and tea tonight for supper so looking better - hopefully she can get home tomorrow - thank goodness for health insurance as it costs 700 euros a night in there. ( and thats before the baby is born!!! )

When is the baby due?

She is earlier than she thought - thought 12 weeks but they say 10 now so a long way to go = 7 litres of fluid later she will get home this aftenoon - has eaten cornflakes and toast to-day so better. Thank you all for your good wishes. I am frightened to be too excited yet about our first grandchild just in case as we though ( and they did) that is would never happen so a very longed for and long awaited baby this will be. But desperate to start knitting soon.
