We finally got a bit of snow this morning, several days behind everyone else it would seem So there I was, at 8am, outside annoying the chooks with my camera The ex-batts are joyous whatever the weather, even snow hasn't rained on their parade, they're so amazing. The Pekins on the otherhand are not in the slightest bit impressed with the freezing weather

She's another of my mongrels, I hatched her on February 1st from a mongrel Ebay egg. She's gigantic & very bossy! She lays very dark brown eggs so I'm guessing Wheaton Maran x Sussex. She's just coming out of a neck moult, her headgear is pinking up again but normally she has a huge comb.

You are right about ex batts though, mine have been loving the snow, some of their sisters, not so much my Gold Laced Wyandotte wasn't even prepared to leave the WIR

Sausage is a very funny girl, she has been grumbling alot in this weather. She loves cuddles, she just stands there waiting to be picked up. I'd highly recommend Faverolles to anyone, there's not a nasty bone in her. She was reared alongside Hob"Ooops, word censored!", Custard & Nelly and they're her best friends and they all hang around together.

Me too, Flo is so lovely and gentle. She even lays down with the rabbits in their run and eats their carrots
