Our new addition - Skye the GSD

Recommended Posts

We've had her just over a week. :D

Rescued from Southern Counties GSD rescue. We are her fourth home in 12 months :( We think (and also our vet does) that she is actually younger than a year - she is very "puppyish", still mouths in play and has lots of black puppy coat which Bracken had when she was young.

She's settled in very well at home (only one little accident). Is going to require lots of socialisation though - has never been walked and likes to chase cars, bark at other dogs & people. :anxious: She almost bit the vet today when she went for her innoculation. Poor thing needs lots of love and attention which should help with this.

We re-named her Skye after the Isle of Skye where our beloved Bracken enjoyed 6 annual holidays - so we think this is a fitting tribute to her. :D

Holiday snaps from the apartment in Cornwall last week:

Oh, Chelsea, she is just BEAUTIFUL!!!! I am so, so sorry you lost Bracken, I have only just figured that out . I hope you have coped with your loss as best you can.

I am sure Skye will have a great life with you. She looks like a very bright little girl, I am sure, as you said, a little love will do her the world of good xxxx.
