I remember it well, I was on a tour of Finland with an orchestra many eons ago when my A Level results came in and I had to find a phone box and ring my mum for my results....it could have made or broken my holiday but all was well, I got what I needed for Newcastle Uni. LisaP Posted August 19, 2010 Share Posted August 19, 2010 ES and DD are now both back with their AS Results - ES got three 'D's in English Lit, Psychology and Sociology and DD got four 'A's in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. I really didn't revise so not shocked at the results: A in Business Studies as, C in Biology (was hoping for a B), C in General Studies. I won't mention Physucks Oh well, quite pleased considering no work Only one I was a bit was Biology but so glad its all over! Cinnamon Posted August 19, 2010 Share Posted August 19, 2010 My girl is disappointed A B in Psychology (which I think is great) & C's in English & Classics, which are a big shock for her as she thought she was well on to getting A's Not sure what to de really. The English in particular is a big shocker, as she got an A/B for her coursework & was getting A's in her mocks. On one part she got a B,but the C on the other part dropped the whole grade down to a C. Not sure what percentage gives which grade & if its worth asking for it to me re marked....... Janepie33 Posted August 19, 2010 Author Share Posted August 19, 2010 DD got an A in Media and a C in Biology and a D in a Science in Society As she didn't want to do but was 'encouraged ' to do by the college as they highly disapproved of her dropping German after the As! She only needed about 80 UCAS points to go to the Arts University College Bournemouth as she was offered a place on the strength of her interview and portfolio. Happy in our household!
