Ain't Nobody Here
Sorry to hear about your run, Dizzy-Deb, what a shock that must've been . The school I work in had its roof ripped off .
The Dogmother
Bitterly cold again this morning - after days of frost not thawing the garden is solid ice. -1.2deg at the moment after a start at 6am of -4deg, there's some cloud appearing though so perhaps we are going to get the snow which was promised for the end of the week. Had to abandon it and go back indoors, it was so cold . Proper big fat flakes now .
The Dogmother
Noooooo, just when we thought it was spring! Dark as anything here this morning, 6deg and raining hard. Now it's 8.8deg, sunny spells and a brisk breeze... I know which I prefer!
The Dogmother
Heavy rain yesterday evening turned to sleet but it was clear by bedtime. 0.1deg this morning and a heavy frost made it very slippy.

chickencam
It was dull and about 1 degree when I got up this morning, it is now 2 degrees and sunny, I shut the chickens in last night we oly do this when the temperature is set to drop below freezing, so they will be in every night this week by the looks of it. chickencam
Here too, it was -3 when i got up at 7am, by the time it was light at 8am it was -5.2 brrr, very bright and sunny though. There have been a steady stream of robins and blue tits eating from our bird feeder this morning, poor little things I don't know how they survive. Makes me feel less sorry for my fluffed up chooks who get a house to sleep in each night and warm water in the morning.

Nearly had a minor panic... but managed to thaw it without breaking any

Cinnamon
It's minus a lot in south Oxfordshire. I think minus 12 was forecast at Benson which is only a few miles from here. It looks as though its a day of defrosting glugs! Just brought a full SuperGlug in,frozen solid, dropped it & caught it with my toe....ouch!!! It is showing as -7 in my garden, but strangely doesn't really feel all that cold. As for the forecast snow...bring it on! I am working this afternoon,up until 8.15 tonight,so am braced for a panic buying hairy drive home
BizzyMomma
Was -9 when we let the girls out this morning, new babies have been in and out of the coop a lot (don't blame them) by the time we got to the stables it was -7 and by the time we were done at the stables it was a more "respectable" -2, we have snow forecast for the afternoon, hope it holds off! Horses are having a "PJ Day" inside, am currently snuggled up with 2 cuddly warm kittens keeping my legs warm, don't really want to move but have to go and check the girls water containers in a minute or 2...... Brrrrr!!!
chickencam
It was -6 at 7.30am when we let the chooks out, OH gave them some warm water and they will get extra corn and meal worms this evening again. It has just started to snow here just light small flakes floating around at them moment, the fire has been lit since 9.30am and we have pulled the sofa right up in front, so a cosy quiet day, just what I like about winter, come to think about it it is the only thing that I like apart from comfort food what to have
Sam
-6 this morning... freeeeezing walk into town!
