Lesley Posted January 22, 2011 Author Share Posted January 22, 2011 The latest news sounds really positive - thank you all for the thoughts and prayers Well what can I say apart from L has done an amazing job. The medical staff are amazed at what she has achieved despite everything that has been thrown at her. Today Lhas been completely taken off the ventilator and has been able to sit in a chair for a couple of hours! She is still really weak and I won't pretend that she has recovered but her recovery has come on leaps and bounds over the last few days. Many weeks still have to pass before she is back to her normal self but, as long as no more problems occur, I feel confident for the first time in 5 weeks to say L is well and truly on the road to recovery and will only get stronger and stronger as each day goes by. She will still be in hospital for quite a while yet but soon she should be able to say bye bye to intensive care. Thanks so much for all your kind thoughts and please just keep your fingers crossed for her. N Brilliant news although she still has a way to go but to come through to this stage is really promising.
