I only have one clump of snowdrops under a hedge, my SIL gave them to me from her field in France about 5 years ago, they are very slowly bulking up, but only about 3" high so far. I also planted about 100 mini daffs, crocus, iris, tulips and wallflowers in a new bed last autumn where I can see them from the house, although I see quite a few have fallen prey to the hens and the cats. If/when they all flower I'll be a very happy bunny! What a nice thread - good times indeed :D

I have two clumps of snowdrops either side of my gate which I can see from the kitchen. I planted them about 5 years ago I think, and the patch has almost doubled in size. They are just poking their little white heads up now. The first bits of green came up during the recent snow and it was lovely seeing them trying to burst through. I am really ready for Spring and all her glory now :D

Oooops! I knew there was something I should have done a while ago.... If I plant the bulbs now will they survive until next spring do you think, or will I have thrown off their internal clocks

I'll have a check this weekend to see if there are any bulbs showing their heads in the garden, in this part of Yorkshire, yet. :)

I thought my snowdrops weren't out, but realised yesterday that they are, just hidden under long grass and bramble  Now, if I didn't have chickens, I wouldn't notice them at all, because they are at the end of the garden and I probably wouldn't venture up there at this time of year!

My jasmine has been flowering for weeks, viburnum tinus is going to burst into flower soon, and the willow has big fat buds on. It does lift the heart, doesn't it. :D
