My DH I am another one who grins like an idiot as soon as I see him when we are meeting somewhere after 19 years we still laugh and enjoy each others company :D

My 3 teenagers, on the whole we are a close family who have fun together.

My daft moggies, they are very different, I love the way Scamp talks to me and sometimes shouts when she wants something, and I love the way Ziggy weaves her way around me and head butts me purring loudly, it took 3 years to get to this stage and it is lovely.

Watching the excitement of the hens at corn and mealworm time.

Sunny morning when you don't mind getting out of bed.

Compliments when you least expect them.

The changing seasons.

Winter Sunday afternoons sitting by the fire, reading, knitting or just chatting with my family.

The first warm day of spring.

Summer by the sea.

Crisp autumn walks.

The first cup of tea of the day.

A fresh clean bed.

The relief on my child's face when they come back from an exam that went well.

Music.

"The changing seasons" is a big one for me too. I'd hate to live somewhere without seasons, no matter how warm and balmy.

Another is the British sun - especially in autumn. It's just so gold and perfect . . . and it's there today where I am :D .

Oh and the light in Scotland. It's hard to describe, but it is so beautiful the way it seems to hang there, pure and fresh. It's totally different from down here in SE England.

Lying in bed last night . . . no it's not rude . . . I suddenly remembered this thread. I was snuggled down in the warm and the window was open and now and then I had a little breeze blow across my face. I just love those moments.

Another one is when I'm driving along at this time of year and the car in front stirs up the leaves so they look like they are dancing all over the road - can't help smiling (and then have a Paola moment - wheeeeeeeeee).

Seeing frosty feathers on the car even though it means I'll have to s"Ooops, word censored!"e it all off to use it.

Glowing sunsets

Meteor showers and just seeing the close bright planets and the full moon when it's low in the sky.

Watching bumble bees going down holes in the garden.

Once you start you just can't stop. Makes you think that all the bad things are so outnumbered by the good ones. :D

Lovely thread! It's always good to count your blessings!

The way our 6 month old smiles up at me and giggles.

The sound of the key in the door when OH arrives home

Chooks bottoms in the air as they scratch and peck their way through the borders

Smell of a nice dinner cooking in the oven.

Smell of cakes baking!!!

Clean bed

And another vote for the changing seasons - I love them all! The dry leaves at the moment are lovely to kick through!

Snuggling up with OH on the sofa in the evening, with a glass of wine and something good on the box.

I am sure there are many more!
