ali-s
I understand they've had wet snow in Newcastle The snow here was wet and slushy Like one of those slush puppy drinks , really quite strange. I actually deleted some of my post because it sounded daft. The WIR roof has just about collapsed due to the weight of the snow. I asked if wet slushy snow would weigh more because of the water content Mind you, the Winter may have been mild up here but crikey we have had some gales and the WIR took a battering many times with the roof being trashed and the sides being blown off twice. I think the whole lot needs replacing. The inside of the WIR was flooded today as the snow melted rapidly.

sparkysmum
about 3'' of the horrid white stuff here We had a w/end away and had a run along the beach with Sparks. My face still feels bruised from the 100 mile an hour (or so it seemed at the time) hail battering me. So much we wanted to do too Horrid vile weather. Plum
Didn't think we were getting it. I keep looking at the cube in amazement. Yes hit Derbyshire, the girls preferred to stay in bed
scubababe
My poor girlies were all huddled under the cube this morning. I did a mad dash and put the tarpaulin over it!

craftyhunnypie
Thin snow this morning, more like sleet. Thankfully my neighbours let the chickens out for me. The mountains are white over though & very pretty. Hope you are all safe & warm. Emma.x
rachel19
It seems really strange to think there's lots of snow up north when it's relatively nice here in the south east. Sunshine with the odd grey cloud and a lot colder than last week but still 10-12 degrees which isn't too bad. We did have a rain shower over night but still nowhere near enough
Duncan08
Freezing on the Wirral, the cold weather alarm came on the car this morning. Took the dog out last night with my hat, gloves and winter coat again. We know a few people camping this weekend, rather them than me
Lavenders_Blue
Very cold, very wet and VERY miserable here today. It's been raining for the last 24 hours now. I know we desperately need the rain but it's a bit of a shock to the system after last week's heatwave. I was dressed up like Nanook of the North to take the dog out! chuckmum6
Very cold here and very wet, although it did have a good snow. I am hoping it will put a stop to my 'about to go broody again hen's, so in the words of the song, 'let it snow let it snow, let it snow!
