Redwing
When bathing my chooks I let their feet soak in separate water first Greystoke fell asleep while his were soaking, I went and did several chores, opened my post, lit a fire, fed the animals... still asleep... ohcarolina
What an excellent use of the 1/2 sink. I'll have to bear it in mind - much easier than squatting on the floor with a bowl!

Adelochick
That's just amazing, he certainly looks very content in your kitchen! What's happened to your running total Redwing, you seem to be missing quite a lot of chooks?

Chook n Boo Mum
Much quicker to bathe than my 3 with their double coats.......they all got bathed yesterday after one of them applied eau de fox around her ears and they all swam in the drainage ditch.....my mum squealed like a little girl when Jessie & Pops decided she was safer than me as I had a hose & she had a towel

The Dogmother
digressing only slightly what I'd really love is a dog wash room - a sort of wet room to hose them down in when they've rolled in muck or are very muddy. They have mobile units in the US, installed at petrol stations and Phil has seen one in this country.
Lewis
Sure there was a station like that at the bottom of Snowdon Clare, to wash dogs + bikes!

The Dogmother
Thanks, but I'm not in your area and it's out of my space/cost quota I know of a couple of folks who have them. We once stayed at a dog friendly self-catering cottage which had a dog washing room in one of the main farm buildings.
Chortle Chook
Thanks, but I'm not in your area and it's out of my space/cost quota I know of a couple of folks who have them. We once stayed at a dog friendly self-catering cottage which had a dog washing room in one of the main farm buildings. Dogmother - I dream of a dog wash room, but then if I did have one I might have to get me a wolfhound Tasha - I wish I could get my chooks to be so laid back in the sink if only to make the clean up operation afterwards easier and lessen the groans from OH
The Dogmother
Some friends in Norfolk breed deerhounds CC - I love staying in their barn conversion as the garden is full of gentle giants... they currently have 7!!!
