We did have some sun today

 

We went for a walk at Rutland Water, it was quite cool and blowing a gale over the dam but by the time we crossed the dam on the way home the wind had dropped and it was just windy. There was a little rain but nothing too bad, nice to blow the cob webs away but OH kept moaning when it was very windy as his hat kept blowing off

It was lovely here mid morning , but soon clouded over. I had a bath and the bathroom was lovely and bright, it was like coming out of a tunnel but not for long enough

11deg and a howling gale. Must have rained in the night but it's dry for now. Dark and grumpy weather.

Walked the dog an hour ago and it was getting darker by the minute. Blowing a gale now too!

It has been dryer here for a couple of days now although we're still having to pump water away from the Big Green Poo Machine daily. The river levels had dropped when I went over the Avon into town yesterday.

 

It shows how wet it has been though as we have new neighbours We have two swans in the nextdoor field

Dry here too,Our garden has drained now but the worm casts have covered the lawn and Mr Holey Moley has appeared again

Mild and dry here too although it looks to be clouding over a bit. I hear that we are in for a dry weekend though, I do hope so as a few of us are travelling to the SW on Sunday for the Berrow Beach bash.

 

Has anyone else noticed that the dawn chorus has already started?

We have just got back after a few days away, travelling on New Year's Eve was horrible, lapsing rain and wind and loads of motorway spray. A nice couple of mild days since. We drove through some flood water on the A5 on Monday and driving past Tewkesbury on the M5 there is so much water in the fields.

Was dry yesterday and so far is dry today Going OT but we woke up to no water in the house this morning but luckily it's not a leak at our end. We had a dribble through the taps for about 10 minutes so managed to fill the kettle. It's off again so we've just booked in to go golfing Well you can't do housework if you've no water

Well can't believe the weather today. It is so warm that I have been out in the garden in just a t shirt. Sunny too. Got quite a bit of tidying done and let the chickens out for a bit of FR too. It is the first time my 3 new girlies have been out of the run. They were a bit hesitant but soon got the hang of things. Hope we get a bit more of this weather - it makes everything feel much better.

It was nice here this morning, clouded over now though and looks like rain, although none forecast for us

 

It is really balmy though, didn't have the electric blanket on last night, first time in ages!

Same here too; it was pretty gloomy first thing, but we were in Stratford this morning, walking the dogs through the fields and it was really warm and lovely. A bit more overcast at home, but dry and I've got the chickens cleaned out and a wee bit of gardening done too.

It's been a nice dry day here, not really sunny but nice enough to get the girls houses cleaned out. Think I might have also nearly caught up with my washing pile as we have had enough dry days to get it all out on the line - unfortunately that now means I have a huge ironing pile .

Lovely day here too. We hired a turf cutter, and started making out the veg garden for next year. Feels like spring is round the corner, but there is a way to go yet!

I hope we get a few more days like today. I think everyone feels so much better when the sun shines. No doubt we will probably get some snow now - but anything is better than all the torrential rain.

I had to put my sunnies on when we were golfing. Midges were also out and I got bitten Rain showing for tomorrow

We've only known rain for so long that this morning, when I let the chooks out & fed the pigs I went for a big walk round the fields. It was heaven!
