Eggasperated
Lovely weekend spent working in the garden again. Saturday mild and cloudy, Sunday cold and bright. Another bright crisp day today - but the forecast for the week looks a bit rough.

The Dogmother
there are clouds gathering around the edges, lovely frost across the deer park at work though; looks very seasonal.
The Dogmother
Ruddy freezing here now - the bitter wind has died down and we had a lovely sunset but it's very cold. My office reached a balmy 17.4deg today... still, they say that being cold helps to burn off fat! Clouds gathering, so we might get some of that sleet tonight. The Dogmother
Did you see Debo's chickens? Absolutely freezing out there now, saw another Leonid whilst putting out the rubbish (as you do) frost screen on the car and going to wear socks in bed tonight. Plum
Ooh lucky you it's cloudy here. Didn't see Debo or chickens but the Christmas Market was on so saw a fudge and hog roast before they disappeared down my cakehole. Was still frost on ground from this morning in the garden. Roads were not too bad yesterday morning but it was obvious they hadn't been gritted. made for an interesting drive to work in places I was kept awake last night by very noisy hail/sleet showers, it is raining now. 1deg at 6am. The Dogmother
2.2deg here at 6am and sleeting is supposed to clear by the afternoon with brighter weather following through, so it'll get cold again. 12.9deg in my office at the moment... The Dogmother
Well, after a blizzard of sleet at 10.30am, it's now clear and chilly. Air pressure is going down and temp is 5.5deg.
Cinnamon
We had a massive storm here about ah hour ago - lots of hail, thunder & REALLY windy too. It seemed to come out of nowhere & was pretty scary.
Patricia W
We had it too in Abingdon, Sarah. Very impressive - it sent chickens running for shelter! It's now sunny so they are back out, preening like mad.

chickencam
It has got very dark and windy here too, we had the heavy rain and wind this morning too, just as DS came out of school for his 15 minute walk to his bus stop to come home to take his driving test. He was drenched when he got in. I stuck the heating on for an hour to dry him out before he had to go out. Thankfully the weather was better for his test, but there was quite a bit of glare from the sun on the wet roads, but he coped ok. Going to light the wood burner now for my 2 fluffy moggies who are curled in tight balls in their beds in front of it.
ali-s
What a day we have had and still having Monsoon type rain, sleety stuff and oh my word the wind Got home from work at lunch time to find wheelie bins far, far away across the fields. Several Onduline corrugated sheets from the Chicken run and wood store on the garden and driveway, good job no cars were parked on the drive. Slates off the Cottage roof, and glass out of the greenhouses. Struggled to keep upright while I was trying to tidy up the mess.
