Charlottechicken
Ooh, don't worry, you will be fine As has been said, hospital is scary, but you will soon be home. Listen to your own body and heal at your own speed, you will soon be good as new It's almost three years since my op and I haven't regretted it, I'm a new woman! Cooks
Thanks all. Xxx I am going to occupy my morning tomorrow cooking meals and that will distract me until time to leave. I went off today and had my hair cut on the spur of the moment as a distraction too. Nice and blow dried now so should last while I am in there. Have to pack as well

The Dogmother
Phew, she'll be a bit out of it for the next day. Phil refers to it as 'The Department of Lower Woman'; according to him, I am now a 'sports model' it's a whole different species....
Willow
It may be few words but lovely to get a positive update Whilst there's lots of us very positive about the benefits of 'the op' it is still major surgery so still a relief to hear it's gone well Tell him to keep us updated! The Dogmother
Poor love, I'm thinking of her - that first day post-op is the hardest tell her, the best day is when you can get up and have a shower.

Purplemaniacs
Sorry not been on for a while so missed your earlier posts. I am glad that you have had your op and starting on the road to recovery. Gentle hugs from East Northants. DS's girlfriends mum had her op just over a week ago and is well on the mend now, she is finding it hard to take things easy, she cooked dinner for DS and GF last night they were going round to cook her dinner but she had already done it, they told her off Best wishes Cooks hope you are home soon. Charlottechicken
Lovely to hear you are OK, Cooks! As has already been said, there are a lot of us who extol the virtues of hysterectomy, but it is still a major operation. I hope you are home soon and can begin to heal in the comfort of familiar surroundings, it makes all the difference

SarahJo
No place like home - pillow between the knees if you manage to sleep on your side & pain relief religiously, not when you need it Lactulose in some fruit juice if required and plenty of very small walks - hold in pelvic floor if possible, clench those cheeks when going upstairs (later on!!!!!!) - all helps with "core" and protects back Take care Cooks x
