Purplemaniacs
It did here Early this morning, about seven, we had an earthquake. OH had left at 6.00 so I was here on my own just with the dogs, when we all thought what was that Chrissie

The Dogmother
I felt it too; was out walking the dogs, birds took off from the trees, and one of the dogs stood stock still. Only realised the cause later when I heard about it.
Lavenders_Blue
Yep, the earth moved for me, but then I only live about 4 miles from the epicentre! I was just on my out of the door with the dog when I heard a BOOOOOM! I live about a mile from an army barracks so figured there was either something happening up there, or an earthquake. My dad thought it was a lorry going past the house, he lives in Oakham, god bless old age

Valkyrie
I thought that was my daughter stomping into the bathroom. Nope, didn't notice - but wow indeed!!!
Geoid
Only a small one, 3.2 in magnitude. Vibration similar to a large lorry passing.
chuckmum6
Fast asleep this time, I felt it the last time when we were near to the epicentre.
Luvachicken
It is weird us having earthquakes. One night I had a dream that the earth moved. Something crashed into the earth and my Mum fell off. I couldn't catch her and she was gone. I think I'd feel a bit unnerved if I was to be in a real earthquake.
The Dogmother
The fact that we get regular small tremors is good; it's when the fault sticks, and then the pressure builds up that you have problems. I've been in worse.
Charlottechicken
That one was too far away for me to feel, thank goodness! I've experienced two earthquakes in Birmingham. The first was about 24 years ago, and I was working on the 16th floor of an office block. I think it was about 2 in the afternoon and my chair was bouncing up and down (with me sitting on it!), then I was aware of all the metal shelving rattling like crazy The second was in the early hours of the morning (probably about 2am) around 12 years ago. I awoke to hear an odd sound, like a train getting closer and louder. The bed and I shook violently for a few seconds Glad you are OK though, it's a very odd sensation
Lavenders_Blue
Only a small one, 3.2 in magnitude. Vibration similar to a large lorry passing. The vibration might be similar to a lorry passing (I didn't actually feel anything, although I heard the garage doors rattling), however the BOOM certainly wasn't! (I should point out my dad wears two hearing aids which he wouldn't have had in at that time of day - so he's forgiven )

Saronne
I normally feel the Leicestershire/Rutland quakes - the 2008 one in Market Rasen, Lincs, was a whopper. I've also felt lots of 3.? whatevers over the past 20 or so years in Southeast Leicestershire - but seemed to have missed this one...I feel deprived! Glad no one was hurt, though.
