[Bramble]

Well Done ANH, very proud of you!!!!! You richly deserve this so I hope it all goes really well for you - I desperately need a change too, so you are my "poster girl" at the moment, no pressure!!!

[Ain't Nobody Here]

That's a first for me - "poster girl" *snort*

[Alis girls]

Well done - good to know our feathered friends are in good hands - when do you start?

[The Dogmother]

[Ain't Nobody Here]

Well done - good to know our feathered friends are in good hands - when do you start?

Will have 4 days in Athens, a few days off then start on Monday 19th October, Ali .

My letter of resignation is printed and ready to hand in on Monday .

[Margaret]

Wonderful news, well done.Just back from a long weekend away, and came here to check how you got on.

[TheGirlsMum]

How did handing in your notice go?

[Ain't Nobody Here]

Most people were really shocked but pleased for me and said they'd really miss me which was nice. The Head Teacher was shocked but no reaction after that. She's a bit weird.

Only 10 working days to go as I only work Mon-Wed and there's a Mon holiday soon .

[LolaLayla]

Fabulous news. How exciting x

[TheGirlsMum]

Most probably stunned at the fact that they've got to find someone to replace you.

[Ain't Nobody Here]

Got an email from the Head Teacher today, apologising for not giving me the time when I was handing her my notice and saying I hope I realise I'll be a big loss. She still blanked me every time she saw me today though .

They'll not find it that easy to replace me - not because I'm bigheaded and think I'm the bee's knees - but because they can't specify IT, admin and tech knowhow skills in a PSA job advert and people with those skills probably wouldn't be interested.

[Bramble]

No, as a new employee of the RSPB I think that makes you the BIRD's knees, never mind bees!!!!

Bosses are peculiar creatures - I'm convinced the big cheeses at our place have all had their sense of humour surgically removed, they also all have selective deafness which I'm sure was caused by said surgery!!!

As long as the head has acknowledged you in an email, that's almost better than face to face, at least it's something you can use as a (sort of) reference in future, should you need it, like when you apply to be RSPB Chief Exec in a few months!!!

[Luvachicken]

So glad you got the job - sorry I didn't say sooner, been a bit busy with family problems

[WitchHazel]

Not long til you start now Vicki!
