Blackrocksrock 30 Posted November 2, 2015 Come to Scotland on 2nd November - warm, sunny and brilliant blue skies - who would have thought?
The Dogmother 579 Posted November 2, 2015 Sounds like you have our weather from yesterday. It is still foggy, cold and damp here.
Purplemaniacs 11 Posted November 2, 2015 It has been foggy all day here. Not like the 2nd November 30 years ago, then it was a lovely sunny autunmal day. Why do I remember the weather, it was my wedding day Chrissie
mullethunter 513 Posted November 2, 2015 Happy anniversary
The Dogmother 579 Posted November 4, 2015 After a couple of unpleasant days with drippy fog, it's warmer but raining. 11deg this morning.
Groovychook 0 Posted November 4, 2015 Dull and dank yesterday and raining this morning. I think 'summer' has finally gone!
mullethunter 513 Posted November 7, 2015 What a rough night! I had to get up in the middle of the night and look out to check the chicken run wasn't blowing away!
Groovychook 0 Posted November 7, 2015 Horrible night! It's just starting to clear a bit here but still quite breezy.
The Dogmother 579 Posted November 7, 2015 Yes, thrashing with wind and rain here too. Lots of surface water this morning, which made my drive into Stratford interesting It cleared after lunch though, and was still breezy but lovely and sunny.
The Dogmother 579 Posted November 17, 2015 The wind is bashing around like mad out there; I went out earlier and tied everything down - think I'll need earplugs tonight!
soapdragon 543 Posted November 17, 2015 Blowing a gale south of Oxford. Horrible! It was bin day today and I can hear wheelie bins clattering around out there....glad my car is garaged
The Dogmother 579 Posted November 17, 2015 This will be a test for my new shed - it has an Onduline roof as I got fed up with retrieving the old felt roof form the old shed
chickencam 2 Posted November 17, 2015 It was bin day here so all of the wheelies are empty and blowing around, we have put ours on its side in the front garden. It is very wild out there.
Groovychook 0 Posted November 17, 2015 Wild weather here too. It's going to be a noisy night! My niece is at Uni in Leicester and a group of them were doing a charity abseil off a tall building today. My sister and I have been having kittens all day, worrying about the weather conditions... Anyway, she did it, brave girl, and helped to raise lots of money for a local children's charity. Proud Aunty moment and relief all around!!
mullethunter 513 Posted November 17, 2015 Just a little windy here too - took the tarp roof off the WIR in case it tried to take off. Really mild though. Was properly wet this morning - almost right through my waterproofs - I had to visit an Otter Sanctuary and it was too horrid even for them - their keeper said they had their breakfast and all went straight back to bed! Charlottechicken 16 Posted November 17, 2015 Blowing an absolute gale here, and the west side of the cottage is open countryside, so we are getting the full force of the wind
Purplemaniacs 11 Posted November 17, 2015 Very windy here too. Little greenhouse has been blown over and that is protected against the house wall. Will wait for the morning to see if everything else is ok as OH is away. Came back from DD's about 7.30 and my poor little car was being blown all over the road. Lots of branches over the road. The Dogmother 579 Posted November 18, 2015 9deg and all calm this morning, just going out with the hounds to inspect the damage.
Charlottechicken 16 Posted November 18, 2015 Managed to get a nice walk around the fields in this morning before we spotted black clouds gathering. Dashed home and it began to rain quite gently. Just heard an almighty noise against the windows and looked out, it is hammering down outside now Not too cold for November though.
The Dogmother 579 Posted November 18, 2015 Yes, mild here and a lovely morning too, but we've had rising winds and rain showers all day.
Groovychook 0 Posted November 18, 2015 We had a lovely, sunny morning but by lunchtime it was gloomy and drizzling. It's been blustery and rainy all afternoon and evening but very mild.
Purplemaniacs 11 Posted November 19, 2015 It was calmer yesterday but in the afternoon there was rain, nothing special at school but as I drove home it was clear that at home they had had a huge amount of rain, the road to the village was flooded and elsewhere lots of standing water. The Dogmother 579 Posted November 19, 2015 We had lots of rain today, stopped around 3pm. A colleague tells me that temps will plummet at the weekend, with a possibility of snow!
The Dogmother 579 Posted November 20, 2015 It is much colder today, and sleeting heavily here with howling wind. We are forecast snow for the morning.
