Janty 1 Posted April 17, 2017 I haven't been on here for nearly three years. I've had a lot of health problems and we have not bought or hatched any chickens for a long while. I'm letting the hen house reduce naturally but do want to continue keeping chickens. I'm just about to go onto the liver transplant register due to a hereditary disease and I don't have a lot of energy...certainly not as much as I used to have. I just wanted to say hello and apologise that it's been so long.
Blackrocksrock 30 Posted April 17, 2017 Nice to see you back, you joined about the time I did way back in 2007. Hope your health issues and transplant are successful and your energy levels improve. Enjoy your chooks!

Janty 1 Posted April 17, 2017 Thanks. It's been so long that I have forgotten how to upload photos. It's probably changed since I last put photos on anyway.

Lewis 183 Posted April 18, 2017 Welcome back! Nice to see you on here, I was thinking about your huuge walk in run only a few weeks ago Good luck with your transplant, hope it all goes well
Janty 1 Posted April 18, 2017 I'm an Addenbrookes patient. It's a scary thing but apparently I'll be back to my old self soon after the transplant which I'm really hoping for. I hate being so tired all the time. The run has been worth its weight in gold Lewis since the bird flu problems started.

soapdragon 542 Posted April 18, 2017 Not sure that we have 'met' but hope all works out for your transplant very soon; you will feel like a different person (but they might not let you have one ) Seriously, it's a real game changer - I had a colleague who had a transplant some years ago and the difference to her life was amazing! Plum 97 Posted April 21, 2017 Hi Janty, sorry to hear of your problems and hope the transplant is soon. Used to love seeing your run develop and flock increase, I hope they still bring you calm and pleasure as well as all the blinking hard work cleaning out that run. We're still here on and off for you x
Janty 1 Posted April 22, 2017 Hubby does most of the cleaning out now, bless him.

Janty 1 Posted April 23, 2017 Have you still got the tractor? We never had a tractor. We have a polytunnel, a fruit cage and two walk in runs but no tractors.
Plum 97 Posted April 23, 2017 My mistake then. I thought there was one at an Omlet meet at your place. Hello Chrissie
Janty 1 Posted April 30, 2017 My mistake then. I thought there was one at an Omlet meet at your place. Hello Chrissie It would be nice if our place was large enough for a tractor.
