When do you take down your tree & Decorations?

Recommended Posts

We'll be doing ours tomorrow much to the childrens disgust! Ours still has its needles but if you pull at them they drop out in handfuls so it'll be a bald spike by the time it's out the door! I hate the way the house looks so dull and boring afterwards but I LOVE finally being able to dust and clear away the cards.

our tree came down a few days ago - it was dropping needles everywhere even though I was watering it every day and had put it in the conservatory which is the coolest part of the house  It was very definitely resembling a twig :(

the outside light tree, door wreath and gold light up reindeers in the front window will come down at the weekend :lol:

love having the space back (and being able to see out into the garden) but I really miss the fairy lights - might have to keep some of them up as they are very twinkly pretty :D :D :D

Ours never went up!

Stepson and GF were visiting before Christmas and we were going to ask them to do it but they were too busy, and then DH got the 'flu over Christmas so I didn't bother as all the decorations are under the bed and any time he gave me some peace he was asleep in bed!

They would've come down this weekend though.

We don't have much space and Lesley reminded me of the year DH got a branch that had come down in a storm, spray-painted it gold and screwed it to the wall - it was really lovely with a few baubles on.

The tree had to come down last Monday as it was fast becoming a twig.

The rest of the decorations came down yesterday. You can see why it was decided that it was a good idea to have a festival in the middle of winter as it does help to have all the lights around during the dark days of December. I agree that it is a bit bare now but I quite like the decluttered state of the house.
