Cookie looks decidedly golden (for that take it to mean grubby) next to the snow yet when its normal weather people think she's a white poodle. She was playing with a little westie in the park yesterday and even he didn't look white.

I have one of those 'white' chickens as well

17 year old finally emerged from bed today and, after saying he didn't like snow anymore, I got photographic evidence of him having a snowball fight with OH. The desire for fun finally outweighed the desire for cool

We have snow! About a snowflakes depth

 

The local high school did not open today as the road was blocked further inland and the school buses could not get through, so Natalie and Jack got the day off. Andy's workplace closed this morning so he came home and did the ironing I of course had to go to work

 

I hope SusanK is OK as I have heard there is about 18 inches of snow in the area she lives.

Not good to go to open the chooks in toggi wellies and a dressinggown with snow on all the trees and all the shrubs bending down - I was drenched and frozen this morning. Only the hens did not come out all day and the only person who loved it was sons dog!

Thank you very much - the trees are ones we planted when we built the house and they are 23 years old now and boy did they hang low to-day.

 

 

 

Your chooks are great and very brave - mine said no thanks to-day and did not venture out at all - this is the first time ever they have done this but I still got an egg and they got loads of porridge and sweetcorn to-day

Its ' orrid here! We've had about nother 2-3 "s overnight on top of the load that was left from yeserday. It's being snowing on and off all night and is coming down really heavily again now.

OS school open again, although by the look of this will he get home later??? mind you the roads look wet so maybe it wont settle on those those? Tiny flakes now.

It was thundering and lightning, raining and snowing (at different times) here last night! Still no school though!! Yay!

husband called to say he's on an A road just a little way from us and it's crawling!

We've had a serious dumping of snow overnight.

 

8 inches and still snowing.

 

Snowploughs out, just had a power cut.

 

They brought the army in down on one of the roads near Exeter, there were hundreds of people stuck in the snow.

My 2yr old and i have had flu all week... i could motivate myself to go see the chooks every day when it was snowing, first footprints and all that (and seeing where the fox had been at night!!! ), but today in the rain.... nah! the girls are still in their cube run, and may be for some time....

 

Please let it snow....

According to the BBC weather we haven't even got any snow - Metcheck are the only ones to have had accurate reports for the last two days.
