Well the Lamb Biriani Friday night definetly worked Decided to do a bit of gardening Saturday. At about 4pm whilst chatting to our neighbours about my new hanging baskets my waters broke (luckily neighours didnt notice, and I just made my excuses to get inside). I have had BH for the past week, so nothing really changed. However at midnight I thought they were becoming regular, so called the midwife. I had been coping with just the Yoga breathing and Clary sage oil (breathing it through a flannel = fantastic). 1:30am midwife arrived said I was only 3cm dialated so wanted to go home. I convinced her to have a nap upstairs on our bed instead..... 2am I really wanted to get into the birthing pool, midwife thought it was too early but let me anyway. 4am I was ready to push, but had to wait for second midwife to arrive. 6:15am Fully dialated, second midwife here so started to push 6:55am Isaac Oliver Hurley was here weighing 8lbs 14oz, no stiches (woo hoo) My midwife said it was the best homebirth she has every attended, which was nice, as I thought I was a nightmare going against her wishes (wanting to get in the pool too early, an wanting to push 2 hours later) This was taken yesturday when he was about 3 hours old.
