littleleicesterfox
DH was rushed into RUH in Bath yesterday with acute pancreatitis. Now I've started the thread I don't know what to say! As you can tell I'm at sixes and sevens. I know I should eat but nothing really appeals. Sorry, I just needed somewhere to try and garner my thoughts. I wish I could see him but visitng is not until 2.
chickencam
This is the place to be, you will get loads of good wishes and positive vibes. You can offload all you need and get support back. Because you are his wife the visiting hours shouldn't be as strict. My dad had had 2 long spells in hospital over the past couple of years and my mum has spent as much time with him as possible which was good for both of them. She just used to stay until she was told to leave or he was taken for tests etc. Thinking of you and wishing your husband a speedy recovery (((hugs)))
Looney
Oh, how worrying for you Sending you and your OH great big ((((hugs)))) and best wishes. xxxxxx
bluekarin
As Chickencam says, you're in the right place! You need to make sure you are okay and don't go fainting through stress and not eating. I know you really can't face eating, how about a cup of tea with a sugar in? This usually helps me. Or even a cup of soup or Bovril. Hope you OH is comfortable and gets well soon! Mrs Frugal
Oh poor chap and poor you having all the worry and not knowing what's happening. I agree with Chickencam about visiting times. It's worth enquiring to see if they are more flexible for close family. They often are. Hope he's soon feeling much better. Thinking of you both. Old Speckled Hen
Hey, take care both of you. Hospital should let you see him any time apart from meals and consultant rounds. Don't worry we're all rooting for him.

jackiepoppies
So sorry to hear your news. I am sure things will improve and don't worry about visiting.......I am sure they will be flexible. Have a cup of something while you're on here, you'll be so engrossed it'll slip down easily........until it sprays all over the screen with something like ANHs tale. I would post it here, but I'm a pooter numpty and don't know how Very best wishes to you both. Jx

Olly
Oh poor you (and poor him, but he's probably dosed up to the eyeballs and getting lots of attention). It's harder to be the one who isn't ill, sometimes. My neighbour had this, very frightening and very painful but it turned out to be caused by gallstones and once she had her gallbladder out, no more problems. I hope by the time you see him you knw a bit more about it.
