Wahey! :D We had some snow overnight and it has just started snowing again! :D

Only a little bit so far.......but enough to cover up the mud (doesn't disguise the fact that I've only painted a couple of panels of the fence though!)! Took a photo at 6.30 this morning

We have had about 1.5 inches - not enough to make a big difference, but enough for the garden to look gorgeous,if a bit churned up after Millie went out! :P:P:P

It is noticeably warmer too, so I don't think it will last too long, which is a pity.

My best friend & her family are emigrating to Australia today, so I just hope that they don't have too many delays from heathrow :?

WE HAVE SNOW! Quite a lot! And i got so excited i thought i'd overslept and wondered why the alarm hadn't gone off, and then realised i had a later start today!

The girls are so funny with the snow! Snowdrop quite brave though and walked, half flew accross the garden to the patio where i was where there was less snow, Bluebell gingerly picked her way through and Daisy who is the oldest and (suposedly) bravest stood on the one piece of un-snowy ground near the eglu and squarked at me accross the garden - she was so funny - she was not having any of it!

Have taken some pics of all the animals in the snow this morning which you can see if you want to here -

(excuse the state of the chickens they got covered in tar - see the 'bluebells back' thread... :? )

This is Bluebell...

Snow in Kent too :D . Not a lot (but we're only just Kent, not deepest, darkest rural Kent ), but it did look pretty this morning.

Only problem was son who got distracted by the snow whilst doing his paper round, ended up in snowball fights with fellow paperboys (and girls) and got home too late for his school bus :x

Muggins here had to drive him to school this morning, and I really, really could have done without it

Immi let the birds out whilst I was haring off on the school run, and by the time I got back she was laughing her socks off at them mincing around trying not to step in the snow. She took some pics, so I'll take a look later and if there's any good ones I'll post them on here

Well, we're in a deeper, darker and ruraller part of Kent than Kate A. And we're about 600 feet up on the North Downs. And ..... not a sausage. :( Not one fluffy flake did fall on our English country garden at our Kent country cottage. Even the ice on the water peanut was a pathetic excuse for ice. It cracked under a stern glare.

I know it would cause us all sorts of problems with getting to work, but WE WANT SNOW!!! We'd even be happy with a heavy frost, especially if there was a clear sky and a bright moon. That would look really good. (OK. I know it's impractical, but we both lean more towards the romantic than the practical.)

But anyway, after we'd driven a few miles up the M20 towards London, we found ourselves in a winter wonderland. There had been quite a decent amount of snow between Maidstone and London - enough to make everywhere look like a Dickensian Christmas scene, but not enough to affect our journey too much.

I wonder what this afternoon and evening will bring?
