laurmurf
9 for me: doesn't surprise me as i'm a fairly strong extravert, which can make it hard for me (and others) to share offices with people as i have to bite my tongue ALL the time. I like to think out loud and i am the world's worst chatterbox so i have to be very conscious of other people and control my behaviour Bizarrely, mostin and i were 'chatting' about something like this and it can be exhausting when i feel like it's my responsibility to keep the social flow going! I think 10 years ago i wouldn't have got anything like as high as 9! My increasing age is giving me more space to let things happen socially without having to 'manage' it. I do LOVE the get togethers though!
Alis girls
20- but i think I have some traits as I look at letters and make up words esp car number plates. If i can make a medical one all the better. mental note - get out more
Chucky1
I'll have to have a go later - I've been blocked at work due to "health or Nudity" content Me too 25 here
Plum
19 but a lot of strongly agree and disagree but I could have done with a few I don't know never thought about it boxes. Oooh chickens on tv now. Sorry lost concentration. Perhaps it says something about Omlet that there are so many high scores on the forum you can communicate on your own terms. Snowy
Another 31 for me too Lesley - you are not alone!! It would probably have been higher when I was younger - nurse training forced me into situations that I hated (working with a whole new bunch of people every 6 - 8 weeks, having to meet and communicate with new, poorly people every day! ) but it made me confront my fears. I still dislike (some ) socialising and especially hate meeting new people in a professional capacity, but at least I can now look confident whilst doing it, even if I don't always feel it! I am happy with chatterboxes, then I don't have to make as much effort to talk myself
Yorkshire Pudding
I scored 3! But I think my job makes me very aware of 'people skills' as I teach them to teens - including some with autism conditions. I think if I had taken this test 20 years ago my score would have been a fair bit higher - I'm sure I've 'learned' a lot of these skills as I've gone along. Laura & CTB
I like the idea of a 10 year plan to become a recluse Laura and CTB I was gonna say we can be reclusive together.......... Edited February 4, 2010 by Guest
Patricia W
I scored 6, but then I know that in terms of the Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator I score as ENFP - which explains my answers to these questions and is nothing to do with autism.... missuscluck
I got 8. Not really sure what that makes me I have seen all of this before as my son has mild asbergers.

Alis girls
I know where you are coming from snowy. I can also tell if I like someone on contact and bristle if I dont. Occasionally I am wrong - a girl I once argued with and thought an opinionated so and so is now a lovely friend. I am also a an opionated so and so. Turning into my mum. Chickendoodle
21 for me Should have been a question - do you prefer interaction with others on an internet message board rather than face to face
Daphne
I scored an 8, but I don't think this is just to do with being an introvert/extrovert. The questions seemed to be a very pointed about whether you liked/were aware of numbers/patterns as well as your awareness of others. Very interesting tho. MedusA
I scored 29 which puts me quite high on the scale. The questions about social situations were the main ones I scored badly in. I don't do well with "strangers" yet can chatter away quite happily with someone I've known for ages. I am also obsessive about hobbies and interests. No hope for me then. Helly Welly
Out of all the Omleteers i know Snowy and Lesley the best and would never have guessed that you would score highly like me. I look at you two and wish i had your confidence at Omlet meets. I guess we all get pretty good at hiding our fears. We'll all go and hide in a corner together shall we, as long as we don't have to talk if we don't want too Oh, and as long as Lesley brings some of her chocolate brownies
Olly
I scored 17 ... but I have a phenomenal memory (hence I have no trouble recalling phone numbers etc!) and like others, I've reached an age where I do what I want, not what other people want/think I should do. An evening in by the fire with my book is often more appealing than going out! so I think taking that into account my score would have been a bit lower. I'm not convinced that it's all that accurate, would love to get my brother-in-law doing this though as we're all convinced that he's got Aspergers. He's a nice guy but hard work to have as a visitor, as he HAS to get up at the same time, eat meals at the same time etc. every day - even Christmas!
